Good, Cheap and Clean

I have now been 4 times to the QIP and to date I have never had any problems with the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful,the restarant is clean and good value for money.
The only minor hiccup we had this year was a group of 4 females who decided to continue the party on our landing. They had the room next door and I complained to security who went to asked them to stop which they did. And on the 2nd night again I complained and security dealt with it but I went to reception the next morning and the management asked them to leave because of the problems.
I will be going again and yes you have guessed QIP why go somewhere different and not know anything about the hotel you are staying in.
Also its on the main route for the buses and trams and in easy reach of Universal Studio's which is a Tramride to wet and wild and a 5 minute walk. The shops are in easy walking distance as are the outlets all on the tram route. The only thing I don't use the hotel for is the shop. I rather go to Walgreens across the road for drinks and snacks etc. Also you can get to Walmart down Turkey Lake Road which is just off Sandlake Road so your choice of shopping is now greater then on the drive.

Brilliant, Very friendly

We as a family have stayed here 6 times, always found the hotel just right. If you do not want to pay through the nose, but still have good accommodation, this is the place. Bang in the middle of it all - 3 pools, zebras bar since 97 has had same bar manager top barman has about 9 hands. If you have family, believe me you will love this place after all the hard slog of theme parks you can really chill out here. Always found the hard working staff just very nice people I will be back god allowing July 30th 2009 with my wife and 1 daughter and her friend for 3 weeks. Book in now all the action is right on your doorstep, here's cheers lenny wallasey Merseyside.

I don't recommend staying here unless you like out of the way hotels. There is nothing here, not even breakfast! There's no fitness center, spa, or even ice machines on the first floor. I asked for a handi-capped friendly room so I wouldn't have to walk far & they gave me a room 4 building and 800 yards across the campus. There is nothing near this hotel either, not the main town, parks, or convention center so make sure you pre-book a shuttle or they will charge you extra at the last minute. I recommend spending the extra $10 dollars and staying at the I-Drive Metropolitan Experess- you can thank me later.

Great service, and convenient

We stayed here for the first time and we found all the staff to be courteous, friendly and helpful. We tried the breakfast and would not recommend it, but the 24 hr deli was ok. Never tried the restaurant at other meal times.
The room was farily small but clean and had everything you could want,tv,iron,fridge etc.there is a laundry which was very useful to keep your luggage weight down, the 3 pools were small but clean,.The hotel does offer free transport to universal,wet and wild and seaworld (pre-bookable), this is worth it as the i-ride trolleys can be very busy at most times in the day,although you are expected to tip the driver each way.
I have even booked to stay here again in november 2008.For one of the cheaper hotels in the area it is situated in the quieter,nicer area on international drive.

My hair extentions went missing from the hotel room. Only a maid could have taken them and the staff was very funny about it. But over all the hotel is nice.

Great service from Security staff

I had left some items behind that were of great need when I returned back to my home. I called security, they found my item, and worked with me to get it sent to me overnight. This single event was great customer service and I was very impressed with the staff in the security department.

The room was ok and the restaurant was ok for breakfast not great, not terrible but ok for the money. Location was great and walking to shopping and restaurants was only minutes away.

This hotel has lots of buildings and three pools which were fine.

For the money a decent place to stay (again, for a small price)

The quality inn plaza had good food, but it did get boring after a while as the breakfasts are the same everyday. I'd recommend to eat out some mornings. The pool is of a decent size and the staff do not seem to be that bad, but i didn't talk to them that much. To open the door, lift the handle UP. We were stuck for ages trying to get in. Also, the bathroom facilities were not tremendously good, the bath and shower had some rust on and there is not much storage space. Do not under any circumstances travel with Mears if you are flying with virgin. Twice they forgot to pick us up from disney! Overall, a good rating for the Quality Inn Plaza is coming from me.

OK for the money

The hotel is nicely located near all of the attractions in Orlando. We were in Block A. That is not the greatest block to be in. It is very noisy as it is beside the interstate and a Hellicopter landing pad. The rooms were not very clean and we even had a few small german roaches that would crawl up behind our mini-fridge. The lite bite deli on site is wayyyyyy overpriced. Orlando Point across the street is really great. Do not eat at the all you can eat Boston lobster place down the street (I think it was called Bob's lobster or something like that) It is not good at all.

My family and I was there December 2003, we found the hotel clean and very well laid out, and our room was very nice to say it was a standard room; the hotel staff was very helpful. The restaurant was very good value for money my 2 children ate for free so we saved a lot of money, especially for breakfast for a family of 4 it only cost us $14 and we could eat as much as we wanted, there was every thing you could think of. The hotel shuttle bus was very helpful it departs from the hotel all the way through the morning so you have time to have a good breakfast before you go to the parks. All in all we had a great time and would definitely choose to go there again. There was maybe 1 bad point make sure you get a room away from the highway, if your a light sleeper it would keep you awake, but every thing else was great very good location I ride right outside the hotel, shops and lots of thing to do right outside recommend to anyone if you want a good budget hotel this is the one to go for.

Best hotel for modest prices

I was there for the last time until january of 2003, it was my second time there. Let me begin by telling you that, for me the hotel is the best hotel you can posibly find for those modest prices. Let me start first by telling you,that first of all, it's located in the best side of international Drive, just crossing the avenue, you'll find the pointe orlando shopping mall,over 13 movie theaters, hundreds of restaurants, even dinner shows, the orange county convention center, it's at less than a half mile, Sea world is also near and wet and wild is really close too.Also in front of the hotel is a trolley stop,that can take you all over the international drive for less than a buck. The service at the hotel is extremely good, the employees are always willing to help you,always smiling, and in the front desk, the people there are super,making sure that your stay there will be unforgetable! The managers are unbelievable, especially mr.Rodriguez, he's more than a manager, he's a friend. The rooms are comfortable, they have thre pools. At new years eve, we were supposed to get to a park to welcome the new year,and it was raining like crazy, you know our plans were finish,that's what we thought, we came downstairs to the lobby, and there was the new years party, end let me tell you it was really good,we enjoy it so much. The only regret that I have,is that i'm not there right now, those people are amazing, I really hope to be there soon, I can't wait to be there again!Hugs and kisses to everybody working at the hotel and thank you again, god bless you!

Car Hire Its a lot easier to hire a car than having to wait on the disney transport

buying theme park tickets from holiday makers Note only buy theme park tickets from recognised sources do not buy from members of the public , as most parks use finger printing to verify passes.Passes are non transferable. If you are thinking of visiting the Belz outlet centre . Then don't ! they are currently closed and rebuilding it. If you hire a car befor you give it back at the airport have a member of your party chedk in case there are long delays on your return flight and that way you can still use the car to drive into downtown or any where else and come back later. We had a 9 hour delay. Once the car is returned the car company will not return it to you. Eat as much as you like breakfasts at Sisslers, Dennys also good $6 for big breakfast, also try the eat all you want feast at the Boston Lobster restaurant at about $40 a head great value with a huge selection of sea food and meat all for one price, desserts included. If you hire a car ask about renting GPS system , great for not geting lost.
