I stayed at the Sheraton World Resort Hotel in April last year with my family. I had a lovely stay. The hotel was beautiful and so clean. It is situated near local buses and on international drive near restaurants and shops. My family and I had an excellent time and would definitely recommend it.

OK if you're in the tower

We went to Florida for our honeymoon in 2004 and we were due to stay in one of the standard rooms which was fine until I saw the state of it was damp dark and smelly and not at all what we wanted for our honeymoon so we upgraded to the tower block and had an amazing stay the staff were ok could have been a little friendlier but the room was amazing cleaned every day and was huge and airy would stay again but only in the tower .. you get what you pay for in this hotel !

Living in Poverty with 0 support!

1st off I'm going to say this politely this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in! I was here for 5 days 3 of the days without running hot water. I had 0 support from Guest Services nor the front desk and just had hell of a time getting help! So I arrived on Feb. 14th and to my surprise, i thought it was a "SHERATON HOTEL" funny enough its not... the name of the resort is now called INTERNATION PLAZA AND RESORT. So when I arrived there to check in the clerk there working had put together what he claimed a room for us... we get to our room and find out hmmmmm this aint a normal room this is a handicap room and the sheets were damp the room smelt and the bathroom was the most disturbing thing I’ve ever seen. Not to mention this is in the "TOWER". So we went back to the front desk swat the room and got this lil suite room on the 3rd floor. Wasn’t too bad at all. Clean ... clean and nice room but a view of the main buildings roof! Where was the view of Sea World? So we stayed there 3 days and to our surprise we had 0 running hot water I called the front desk 10 time or maybe more and no one wanted to help us. Finally after we had a plumber come to our room 1 in the morning waking us up and telling us tomorrow it will work. Surely enough it didn’t. 1st off the hotel is nice from brochures and what not and has a nice main lobby and pool. 2nd It's not a Sheraton don’t let no one tell you that! 3rd It’s like living in POVERTY with 0 help! 4th I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! 5th I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME HERE! 6th!!! THIS IS NOT ON INTERNATIONAL DRIVE THE BIGGEST LIE! IT’S ON A SIDE STREET IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! TAXI'S/BUS DRIVERS AND ANY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION HAVE 0 CLUE WHERE THIS HOTEL IS! 7th DO NOT GET SCAMMED INTO USING THE HOTELS CABBIES! USE THE I-TROLLY FOR $1 8th BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS AND A PILLOW! TAKES 2 DAYS TO GET CLEAN SHEETS AND TOWELS! 9TH JUST DO GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IRATE CLIENT WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Holiday ruined

Arrived in evening to find hotel had cancelled our two room booking, by mistake!! Told that no rooms available, but given two rooms temporarily. Took 5 days to sort out and put in tower rooms supposedly to compensate. These rooms were the standard that we were expecting, the other rooms were no more than 3 star and would have been very disappointed. Most of the money has been spent on the front of house, and caters more for conference visitors than holiday makers. Not impressed at all, and staff not really bothered about our upset despite it being their fault. Will not recommend to anyone else.

A big disappointment

We spent Christmas 2003 at Sheraton world, the public rooms were great and staff very friendly but the rooms were disgusting! Damp and smelly, dirty with mould and stained carpets, my then 6 year old daughter suffers with allergies and asthma!! So no way were we staying, we complained and the hotel manager explained that there was damp problem and repairs were being carried out and then to our disgust we were offered food vouchers. My husband be came very angry and explained that our children’s health is our main concern and food vouchers on the 23rd of December was not going to help us very much after long flight with 2 very tired children... We were then offered a tower room at no extra cost we were not very happy with this either as they were being renovated and smelt of paint and were surrounded by builders working. But at Christmas with no way of booking another hotel, every other hotel in the area was booked solid! We were shocked at how very dated the rooms are and we were told that they would all be updated very soon but this not the case as W Barsby from UK says they are still the same. Beware before you book this hotel the location is great, the pools are great, but the rooms!! Make sure your room has been updated or get a tower room.

Impressive - but not!

Hi, we have just avoided 'Wilma'. How to describe the Sheraton?. We drove up, Wow, Reception, Wow, Shop/Restaurants Wow, Room, Oh..... So damp it had mould on the ceiling. The rooms are so dark (to hide the dust). My advice, stay in the tower block and not in the lower blocks. I think they have had their day. Would I stay again, Yes, location v. good, staff helpful but I would be disappointed if it was anything but the tower. Also, because it is a convention centre, it can be over run by businessmen. Our pool next to us was closed to holiday makers for two days for NASA guests!

Had a great experience. We were within walking distance of Sea World and we had 3 pools to choose from. My kids played mini golf and we could eat at the hotel resturant. Staff was very friendly.
