| Staffed by thieves |
| Just returned from a 2 week break at this hotel. First thing you absolutely have to do is make sure you get a room facing the pool. Dont accept any of the rooms facing the rear of the building as it would be like sleeping 100ft away from the M25.
Good points
Location is not bad on I-Drive
Pool is great
Rooms are similar to Travelodge and were basically clean and ok.
Bad points
STAFFED BY THIEVES We had $130 worth of perfume stolen by the cleaner. The hotel General Manager was meant to be holding an investigation but never responded to my phone calls and was always out when we called. Talking to some other Brits by the pool we found that we were not the only ones either.
Reception staff were the only miserable people we came across on the whole holiday We really got the feeling that we were an inconvenience. Im not sure that the word abysmal is strong enough.
One night of the holiday the place was filled with partygoers on a local car rally. The hotel staff were unwilling or unable to quiet them down and the noise went on until the early hours of the morning. This was not helped by the hotel barman getting all carried away and turning the music up in the bar so loud that the windows in my room vibrated. As usual the hotel reception staff were useless and did nothing to shut him up so it was left to me to storm in there and vent my anger personally Not something Im meant to have to do on a relaxing holiday.
One other thing Not related to the hotel Avoid a place called LA China at all costs. We asked the price of a buffet and were told it would be $7.50 per head. 6 people in the party heard the staff confirm this price. After the meal, the price shot up to $12.50 per head and then they had the audacity to complain to me when I never left a tip.
In summary, if you do find yourself at this hotel and cant move then make sure your room is pool facing, dont expect any sort of service and please lock up absolutely everything as if you dont it will get stolen.
If anyone wants any more detailed tips on the location then please feel free to email me stuartadair@btopenworld.com
