Top Local Tips for Naples
Beware the traffic and congestion Avoid route 41 at rush hour. It can take more than 20 minutes to travel just a few miles in the late afternoon/early evening. This part of Florida is undergoing construction everywhere.The traffic lights stay red a long, long time. If you plan to spend most of your time dining in and strolling around Old Naples, i.e. 5th Ave and 3rd St. it is better( IMHO) to select a hotel that is within walking distance of these areas. We had considered the Ritz Carlton initially. While I know it would have been a lovely hotel and resort it would have been a totally different vacation experience. It's just not that convenient to travel back and forth from where the Ritz is to Old Naples.
Parking Drive around the block to the back of the hotel (4th avenue) and park in the free hotel car park
GO TO AURELIO'S PIZZA! Definitly try the meatball pizza at aurelio's pizza!!! It's the best!!
