For the cost, the room was great, large, clean and great view of the ocean. When arriving the front desk guy was very slow and never cracked a smile. The help used the elevators regularly and made you feel like you were taking up space... no one smiled or said hello - The concierge was equally unhelpful and unfriendly, couldn't get off his personal call to answer a question.. Our "deal" included breakfast. Forget that. The dining room was very dingy and unappealing as was the frozen croissant, oj in paper cup and coffee. We gave our 2nd day breakfast vouchers to some people we met on the street! The location was great, right off of Lincoln Rd. and very close to South Beach, easy walk. The bars were only open on weekends and we were there during the week. If you want to go someplace where you feel special and feel good walking in and around the place, I wouldn't recommend The Shelbourne Hotel.
