Will definitely stay here again!

from A TripAdvisor Member
I just returned from a long weekend in South Beach and I am so thrilled with this hotel that I've already booked again for two weeks from now.

Our flight arrived early in the morning, 8:30 am to be exact, and we arrived at the hotel at 9. The concierge checked us in quickly and we were taken to our room within minutes of our arrival. Shocking since check in time isn't until 3:00 pm. Well, I wasn't too thrilled with the first room because it had a view of the bay so I called and asked to be upgraded to a oceanfront room. They had no problem with this but we were told it would cost an extra $39 per night. It was well worth it! They put us in a corner room with a breathtaking view of the ocean!

The rooms are standard Sheraton type rooms with a king size bed, two nightstands, a table, 2 chairs, and a desk. The bathroom was unusually nice for a three star hotel. The shower was standard but the rest of the bathroom was all marble and really beautiful. The room was super clean and we didn't detect any mold smell that some other reviewers did. The air conditioning is no joke! We had to turn it off quite often as it got very cold in the room, even though it was 90-95 degrees outside.

We ordered breakfast from room service once and while it was tasty, it was definitely over priced. $24 for 2 orders of pancakes and orange juice but hey, it's South Beach, everything is expensive here with the exception of our room which was unbelievably cheap! We had lunch at the hotel restaurant once and I do not recommend it. The food was okay at best and they have a much better burger cooked on the grill at the tiki bar near the pool. Speaking of the pool, it was very clean and the water was the perfect temperature to cool you off because it is HOT in Miami in September.

This hotel is very quiet and peaceful for South Beach so if you're looking for noise, this is not the place for you. There are many other choices on the strip that are down a few blocks and in the center of everything. This particular hotel is only a few minutes in a cab to all the fun SoBe has to offer, yet it's nice and peaceful and you can actually sleep if you choose to. :)

I highly recommend this hotel! For the price, it cannot be beat!!!!

Social Hotel for the price in great location

Excellent location. Rooms can run from $92 -$121 for lowest category depending on season and luck with deals on internet. A good way to save some money is to use the starwood site best rate guarantee because they NEVER have the best rate and therefore, end up owing you 10% back. The pool has a friendly feel- good mix of young people. Easy acces to boardwalk and beach are nice. The hotel's tikki bar by the pool is great for drinks and snacks. The rooms are spacious and the balconies are huge but the interior needs sprucing up. I am told they will be remodeling in October- long overdue. The food is okay but the selection could do with more variety. The valet service is reliable if you call ahead to have the car ready. The rooms offer free internet access but I wouldn't count on the setup being ready when you get there- can take hours till they figure out what cables they are missing in the rooms.

Overall a good hotel which may become a great hotel if they remodel and perhaps at the same time pay more attention to the service details.

Had a great time at Four Points Sheraton, Miami, Florida

from johnnyappleseed
Just got back from a great stay at the Four Points Sheraton in Miami. The service and the amenities were just great. Nicholas, valet supervisor, a very upbeat, informative young man, gave us some great information about the city and its sights and took care of all the details of our tours and outings so that all we had to do was to show up. A neat surprise was the complimentary limousine service. I enjoyed the hotel breakfast, as well as strolling along the boardwalk to the other hotel restaurants. I especially enjoyed the angel hair pomodoro at the Eden Roc restuarant just a short stroll up from Four Points. The Four points has a very nice lobby with generous seating and great views of the pool and further out, the ocean. The rooms are quiet and attractive. My room was on the bay side and that also was very nice. I had a wonderful time there and would go back. The ocean, as always, was beautiful.

Enjoyed the Four Points

I thought this was a great hotel for the low cost, especially after a holiday. The room was spacious, clean and had updated appliances and furniture. The staff was very helpful and the food i the restaurant was very good. This hotel isn't directly on South Beach, which can be nice if you're wanting rest and relaxation. The pool area was adequate, though most spent their time at the beach, which is directly in back of the hotel. What beautiful water! I'm ready to go back. The Four Points Sheraton Miami Beach was a nice hotel!!!

Great for the money!

Location was a plus, close to South Beach 1.5 miles but far enough away from the noise. Right on the boardwalk.

Rooms are older but clean and cheerfully decorated, bathrooms are nice and roomy with marble floors.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Jorge the night valet parking attendant was a super young man! I cant go on enough on how attentive and helpful this guy was. He even rinsed off my car one night!

We paid extra for a balcony room which had a super view of ocean and pool area. We paid about $100.00 a night plus the balcony upgrade $30.00 extra. Try CNG hotels for best rate, they are based in Dublin, Ireland but we had no problem with them and were very pleased!

This is a good choice for the money, we also checked out the rooms at the Marriott in South Beach and the rooms looked very nice plus south beach was within walking distance, we may stay there next trip.

A safe south beach bet

from A TripAdvisor Member
This hotel is a safe bet in South Beach. It is not for those wanting to be super-close to the action but more for vacationers that want to be on the water, close to the attractions and able to sleep at night.
Located at 44th and Collins, the hotel is a bit of a walk to Lincoln Road/South Beach but you can take a quick taxi or busride to the more hectic parts of town. The hotel staff was friendly, even at the height of spring break and tourist season. The room was clean and not musty.
Best about the hotel was there were plenty of pool chairs and places to sit, even on a saturday afternoon, the staff made sure to get everyone a seat. The hotel was chill if you wanted to bring down a cooler and play cards with friends, as long as you didn't flaunt the beer. This is not a place to be 'seen' but a good value hotel with direct beach access, a nice pool and a safe bet for traveler who don't know the area. I would come back again. FYI: An earlier positing is correct that the elevators are small and very slow.

It was a bad start

from A TripAdvisor Member
It was a bad start when we arrived and the room was not ready, even after eating lunch & being told we could go to an upgraded room, we ended up waiting in the hall for 45 mins. The pool was closed for repairs (12/14-19), the hotel was unable to curb the noisy enthusiasm of some Eagles fans there for the football game; aside from the rowdiness till 3 am, a picture window in the room 2 stories above us was shattered & glass was all over our balcony. There were no apologies & we were told there were no quieter rooms available. The hotel offered to remove the parking/valet charges for our stay, but I will NOT return, even though I have stayed there before and it was not nearly as bad.

(Not what I expected, but ok)

Hotel: To far away from the hot spots (lincoln row mall and Ocean drive) Stay closer to the 1XXX side of collins. My wife wanted to stay at the DELANO or LOWES or CROWN. We went into all of them and they not only looked better but they were closer to all the action. Rooms: OK size. Recommed the rooms with a balcony. They tend to look bigger. High speed internet did not work. Restaurant: Only one restaurant. Breakfast buffet is expensive $15.00 plus 15% tip and 9%tax (included). Every place charges the same 15% tip and 9% sales tax which is ok if you get good service and bad if you get bad service. Transportaion: It is a long way to lincoln row and ocean drive so you will have to take a taxi. Taxi ride will cost you about 10 to ocean drive and lincoln and about 27.00 plus tip each way to the airport. Pool: We went in December 22-28 and the pool was cold not much sun out as well. Food: Food was ok but there is only one restaturant and that gets boring. We went to the cafe in Lafountine blue to get some variety and we ate on lincoln row and ocean drive (cool places to eat but expensive, so I hope you have some cash to spare) Overall good stay but I would not stay there again I would stay closer to the action (around 1600 collins)

Should be listed as a 2 star, not a 3 star hotel

This hotel is in a good location for people who want to be near the ocean, South Beach (3 minutes) and Pro-Players stadium (15 minutes).
The hotel rooms need maintenance. There was mold on the vent in my room, stains on the carpet and the artwork was straight out of 1982.
The bathroom was updated but the rest of the room needed a serious overhaul.

The customer service was pretty good and the hotel's restaurant, Zorba's, was nice for breakfast and dinner. The pool area was also nice.

I will not stay here again unless the rooms were updated.
