Our family of 4 stayed overnight at this hotel which we found very comfortable.
We were let down badly by the driver of the hotel courtesy minibus.
We requested transport to a restaurant nearby on valentines day 14th February 2006.
The driver strongly recommended that he take us to a fish restaurant called Catch Of The Day.
Upon arrival at the restaurant and after tipping him and promising to pick us up later that evening his personality changed!!
He ignored us from that moment but was only interested in entering his name on a clipboard held at the restaurant in order that he could claim his commission for providing 4 customers.
He never returned to pick us up after our meal after us making two calls to the hotel.
After waiting patiently for over two hours we decided to get a taxi back which cost us $16:00
When we tried to complain the following day it was his day off ( so he got away with it )
We did not get his name ; but his selfishness ruined our evening!!!

Consider you South Flordia airport options! If fares into Miami Airport are too high, consider flying into West Palm Beach or Fort Lauderdale airports! In the past, I always thought the hugly expensive taxi and shuttle rides from these airports made them prohibitive for a vacation in Miami. This vacation, we learned that the Tri-Rail train connects with all three airports. If you are not in a rush and want to save a few bucks, fly into PBI or FLL and hop on the train for no more than $5 a person. The train will take you to connections in Miami where you can hop a bus to the beaches!!
