| Not as bad as they say. |
I have to disagree with the previous comments, because honestly, in my several stays in this hotel (five), I've never had a major complaint. Sure, this is by all means a cheap hotel, but the rooms are clean, the staff is courteous (maybe it's just my luck that I've never been mistreated) and it's overall a decent hotel. |

| Worst Hotel experience ever! |
Don’t let the website deceive you. This hotel is not a place that you would want to stay. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. I was in Miami attending a social work conference and I ended up staying at this hotel due to the conference hotel being full. After a very long flight due to long delays and bad weather I was ready to get some rest. As I walked into the lobby of this hotel I noticed that it was very old but I could deal with that. The staff were extremely rude and did not speak very good English. When I went into the room I found it to be atrocious. This was the filthiest hotel room that I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. The walls, all of them, were just filthy. It was like a kid had taken a black marker or pencil and drew all over them. The carpet looked like it had not been cleaned in years. The bathroom was very filthy and had mold in it. The bed was like a piece of plywood with a thin piece of foam over it, hard as a rock and very... Read more |

| Less Than Courteous |
I stayed at The Riande during the Winter Music Conference in March of 2004. When we checked in the agent was less than courteous, there was a great deal of confusion regarding the parking policies and we were given conflicting information from different staff members regarding parking policies. At best the staff was indifferent and very unwilling to accommodate any special requests. The decor of the hotel is very outdated and the beds in the room were not comfortable. |

| A Place To Sleep |
All in all--not a bad place, depending on what you need. All I needed was a place to sleep and shower. The water pressure was weak...but I got clean. The bathroom was tiny. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The location of the plaza almost across the street was good...and the price was right. |
