the airport I had never flown in to the Miami airport; I will make every effort to never do so again! The airport is one of the worst (including 3rd world countries) I've ever been in. Not only is the construction outside and within 5 miles so horrible it's impossible for a new-comer to find their way through the maze (or arrive at their flight on time), the airport is dirty and has sub-standard amenities. For example, I left 2 hours early from my hotel because I knew how bad it would be getting my rental car returned and to the airport due to the roadways (no rentals on airport property). Still, I just made it with a few mintues extra - it was 6am so I wanted to get a bite to eat before flying for several hours. My only choice? A high-fat, disgusting fast food restaurant. Nothing else (I didn't see a singe sit-down restaurant in the airport). Also, for the entire section of gates, there was only ONE x-ray machine/security check!

Miami Metro Zoo This is a great place to take your kids of all ages. Make sure you check the weather before you go!
