Monty's Raw Bar If you stay at the Doubltree you MUST go to Monty's Raw Bar for dinner! Happy Hour runs from 4 - 8 PM and all drinks are half price!

Supershuttle When arriving at MIA look for the Supershuttle stand near the baggage claim (outside on the sidewalk). No need for a reservation when arriving, and its 1/2 the price of a taxi!!! For the day of departure, call 24 hours ahead and and make a reservation (no deposit or credit card required) and they will pick you up at the time agreed upon. Sometimes they're even 20 mins early!

Coconut Grove - CocoWalk not safe after dark This is a once great neighborhood (just Google some of the history about it) that has undergone its share of changes over the years. There are a bunch of great little cafes and merchants, however the CocoWalk is losing major retail tenants (visible by several empty spots that used to be large anchor stores) and the surrounding area is losing its safe upscale atmosphere. There are vagrants commonly seen around the area at night hours, and my family and I were hit-up for money everytime we went to the CVS and the Post Office on Grand Ave. The local playhouse is indefinitely closed due to lack of performers and support - and if that doesn't spell "decline" I don't know what does. The marina area and Bayshore drive is still pretty nice, but head a little ways south on Main Highway toward Sunset Place for touristy areas. Coconut Grove as a whole is still hanging on as a wealthier residential area with two great museums, a fantastic marina, and Miami City Hall.
