Top Local Tips for Lake City

Visiting friends; looking at property We stayed In Lake City to look at property in a development where friends have bought. There's not much to do in Lake City. Lot of restaurants around the Interstate, as well as hotels. The "mall" consists of a JC Penney's, Goody's and Belk's. We planned to stay 2 nights, but it rained the 2nd day. Since there's nothing to do and we'd already visited with our friends the day before, we decided to check out & head home! There are 2 golf courses, but rates aren't reduced during the summer months as they are in most places in Florida. Not sure I'd want to live there.
