this vacation was the best the hotel was spotless staff so helpfull room clean every day, the lake with the boat to downtown was gorgeous and the horse and carriage beautiful, the land spotless with tehe smell of pine trees how nice, always room at the pool and never crowded in the restaurant which was really good, it was the best and so want to go back 10/ 10

The whole family had a great time during our first stay in Florida. The hotel location was great for the boat to Downtown Disney. The only negative was the food court smell made me feel sick and it wafted all the way to the bar but it was not strong enough to stop me drinking the whisky.

I really enjoyed my stay there, however, I left something in the room that I stayed in and I am having a very hard time retrieving that item. I have called many times and I keep getting a run-around. That is why I have to rate this resort at a 4

I've stayed at French Quarter 6 times, and for the money, i wouldn't stay anywhere else. LOCATION: Whether you take the bus, or have a rental car, you are very close to MGM and EPCOT. Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom are your longest drives, however no resort in Disney is going to be close to all attractions. It's great to take the boat to Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island from the French Quarter. From there you can have your drinks at Pleasure Island and grab a bus back to the hotel. Port Orleans is also close to Boardwalk which is a really good time. HOTEL: The grounds of the hotel are very well maintained and add a great deal of ambience. The Sas. river alongside of the grounds is a nice touch. The pool has plenty of room and chairs, and the bar is nearby. The bar was well stocked with a nice variety of New Orleans style drinks. We were very happy with the foodcourt, and they had a nice variety. If you are like us, we only eat an official nice dinner maybe 2 times out of 7 nights while there. Thus while on the go, the foodcourt serves us very well those other 5 days. I have stayed at Carribean Beach, Riverside and Polynesian and for the money, you can't beat French Quarter. If I had the money, I would stay at Polynesian, however the price differential is just too great.

Unhappy Christmas

We stayed the Riverside, Port Orleans, during Christmas Week, 2003. We paid $238.00/night. We found the room dreary, dank and too small. The bathroom was especially tiny. For what we paid, we thought a coffee pot in the room or a small frig would have been nice. If not that, free coffee in the lobby would have been appreciated. The wait for a bus to anywhere was long. On a positive note, the grounds are beautiful and the pool was great fun. We have stayed at Disney many times and are annual ticket holders. This was our least favorite resort, based on the room.
