Top Local Tips for Lake Buena Vista

Toll roads If you're traveling anywhere in the area or going to other cities in the state, be sure to carry plenty of small change and bills if you accidentally find yourself on a toll road without warning. I made a trip from Orlando to Cocoa Beach, Vero Beach and back to Orlando and didn't realize there were toll roads in my route and had nothing but $100 bill in my wallet plus credit card. The toll booth operators don't take anything over $20 bill but will issue you a certificate showing the date, time and amount of toll so you can mail it in. It was embarrassing not to have the small change needed to traverse the roads.

Saving money If your room has a fridge, you're going to save money and eat healthier if you stop at the grocery store on the way in. Any kind of garbage food you buy there will be better and cheaper than room service or other restaurant food.

When Not to Go Having been there on the 4th of July, I wouldn't reccomend visiting any Orlando around this time. The area is very busy, the parks are jam packed and the restaraunts are always full. If you can avoid this date, I suggest you do!
