The room was filthy. The sheets were stained, the carpet was sticky, the bathroom was moldy, the wallpaper was peeling, the clock was broken and the hair dryer didn't work. Most disgusting were the roaches, and most disturbing was the staff response to my complaint. Total inaction. They offered me no other room, no cleaning or an exterminator. Disgusting! For the money they charge, you can get a better room.

I had a little trouble at the front desk. I paid in cash for 6 nights...was handed an envelope with keys and paperwork but didn't realize that there was no receipt for the cash I had paid. So I called the desk... said no problem... come back and we'll give you one. Took awhile for them to find out which one had taken my money..then gave me a receipt...but not itemized in anyway. When i made the reservations I had asked for a room with the view of the fireworks from Epcot. They said no problem...just $10 extra a night for the guarantee. Since I was only doing this once...I said ok. When I got to the room...at 9 I looked around for fireworks..couldn't see them from my room. ok..I checked the receipt..figured it up based on the online confirmation I had...(since I didn't receive the itemized one from them) and figured out I hadn't been charged for the firework view. ok good. Except midweek they called me down to the desk and told me I owed them $60 plus for the view of the fireworks... which I didn't pay. I told them they could come up and see for themselves they couldn't see from there. The service was good. The room was clean... 2 of the 4 lamps worked. There was no mini bar. just the fridge with 2 waters in them. The location was good.. Right across the street from downtown disney... The shuttles to the parks were frequent..and not crowded. The only problem was we were looking for some kind of convenience store...but there wasn't because it was disney property. So if you didn't want to eat in the hotel or at downtown disney.. you had to get a cab elsewhere. I was told when i made the reservations that there were busses to take you other places..but there isn't. just the disney busses. the pools were great..open all night. the restaurants in the hotel were very expensive. if i went again.. I'd probably look for another place to stay. The Wyndham was sold while we were there... It's now Buena Vista Palace.
