Top Local Tips for Kissimmee
cheap eats Sizzlin Grill has breakfast buffets for $3.99/person. Ponderosa breakfast buffet is $4.99/person and both are pretty good. Both are kid friendly. Both are located on hwy 192
Disney gifts Plenty of disney gifts in shops much cheaper than in parks
Kissimmee much better than International drive When visiting a theme park in Orlando, try staying in Kissimme. Alot less traffic congestion compared to International drive. Also, majority of the hotels are much cheaper in rates than on the main strip. There are many restaurants and retail shops nearby and Old Towne is also good stop on the weekends if you are interested in car shows. A must stop is at Oceans 11 if you enjoy very good seafood and sushi.

We stayed at a wonderful resort in a 3 bedroom / 2 Bath Condominium with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, living room and dining room and it was about the price of an ordinary hotel and less than most Disney hotels which give you a whopping closet sized room with one bathroom and a mini fridge(if you're lucky).
We saved so much money on food having the full kitchen we could grocery shop and cook at least half of our meals, which was a life saver.
We originally booked our reservation online, which was a breeze and had a wonderful chat with their online reservations guy "J" who helped us with our booking. We did have to call them about 2 days before we were to check in to add a crib (how could we forget that?) and we spoke to Linda in the reservations office, she was so friendly and helpful and informed us that it would be no problem (even with only 2 days notice) How wonderful to find a company that knows how to treat customers in this day and age!
Oh and Disney was fun too =)
