Top Local Tips for Kissimmee

WDW tip Our family is one of lucky ones- my husband lets us visit Walt Disney World every two years. We've learned a lot since our first visit, at Christmas(!) in 1979. WDW is huge and can be overwhelming. The best advice I can give to enhance the magic for your family, is: do your homework. There are great, free, weekly/monthly newsletters on line; informative guidebooks at your local library, as well as all the official Dinsey information. Plan your trip so that the spontaneous moments are not "being stuck in a two hour line with hungry kids" but rather, "our kids being greeted by a friendly character while sitting in a shady spot near the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom."

Country Western Club If you're looking for country western dancing you won't find it in Kissimmee. But you can travel half and hour west on Hwy 4 to Lakeland. They have a nice club there. Line dancing only. No two stepping.
