No place better in Key West

The first time we stayed there we fell in love - after visiting so many other properties. We've stayed six or seven times since. I can't say we've ever had anything but a perfect stay.

Siminton Court is the best

We booked Siminton 6 months prior and will return. We were chased by Rita after two days but they were the most glorious two days ever. The tropical setting is hard to decribe, you have to experience it. The rooms are fantastic. We started in the Hibiscus for one nite. Talk about private with your own porch on the second floor over looking Elizbeth St., a little noisy due to 10,000 motorcycles in town that nite for the Poker run. The pool and hot tub were great place to sun and relax and were always open, ie at nite which made for some rather romantic encounters. We know we were not the only ones, witness the many sighs at nite from a far with couples between the many pools and tubs enjoying each other and the remarkable facilities.
Breakfast was nicely done, 8:30 till 10:30 lots of friut, bagels coffee waffels etc and the service was second to none. Big thanks to Miller. He's kind of the everthing guy there who can do anything you want or get anything you need, always with a great attitude.
I cannot recomend this inn enough, thanks guys, can't wait to do it again.

Loved this Inn

We loved this Inn. the room was fabulous and the tropical landscape was beautiful , at night the lighting outside was beautiful . We stayed in the mansion MA-5 and was very roomy . The breakfeast was very tasty and just enough for the morning . I highly reccomend this place and will return soon .

A friend and I stayed at the Simonton Court Inn for Labor Day weekend on the recommendation of some friends, and we have both decided we will never stay anywhere else again. We were originally planning to stay the weekend before but we unexpectedly had to cancel due to Hurricane Katrina. Although this event did not fall into their cancellation policy they negotiated another weekend with us. Well good thing it worked out because the place is AWESOME, and I am picky and no stranger to nice hotels or nice stays in Key West. Steven who I believe manages the property or was at least there all the time was especially great. Recommended two restaurants - one on the hip side, one on the cheap - both wonderful. He showed us some of the cottages the day we checked out for when we decide to go back with another couple or something. All in all you can not go wrong. Great location, clean, beautiful, and no snob factor! Cheers!

Suprise Engagement

WOW!!! We were absoluely amazed at this tropical paradise! Having been to Key West many times before, I thought staying in a B&B meant having a small room and bathroom that was in one house. Simonton picked by my soon to be fiance was totally opposite. Not only did you have a large luxurious room or suite but a private balcony and 4 pools to choose from. We stayed in 2 different rooms because thew place was booked up.

The first night we were in the Mansion 1. This room was seculded on the 2nd floor of a mansion with a large balcony that was very private. The balcony even had shades you could draw down if you really wanted it to be romantic. The Mansion 1 also had an old fashioned style bathroom with a beautiful tub.

The 2nd night we were in Townhome 1. This was on the 2nd floor of a townhome. It had a large Roman Tub in the Suite and it's own living room. This room's balcony was a little less private because it overlooked the pool but out neighbors who were renting the apartment below which had a full kitchen and 4 bedrooms plus it's own private Jacuzzi were fabulous. We had a magnificent time!!!

The staff was great and so was the breakfast. I will never forget our engagement. By the way I definitely recommend renting a mo-ped to get around. Previous trips I had alsways walked everywhere driving is not practical. With a mo-ped we saw parts of the Island that I didn't even know existed.

Private Oasis

We stopped at Simonton Court last year. Although extremely expensive, the Hibiscus Room (MH1) was fantastic. We had our own pool (shared with room next door which was empty), our own private hot tub, and terrace with table and chairs. The only downside was a useless hairdryer, and not the friendliest staff in the world. Great location too.

Had a cottage by the main pool for the weekend and this place was great. Location is perfect to walk to anything in Old Town from, the sheets were good, and miracle of all miracles, the Continental Breakfast was actually worth writing about - real bagels, coffee, fruit and french toast thingies. I've stayed in a lot of the B&B's here, and they're really good in general, but this place went above and beyond. Great pool for lounging around at and actually moving around in, hot tub, the good guides to Key West in the room, nice beds and pillows, etc. They even mailed back my watch which I left stuck in the cushions of the couch (never wear a watch in Key West) overnight. Only curiosity was the Sandalwood mouthwash? Maybe I was too hammered to use the right little bottle, but it still worked a charm.

Well worth the price. Great location - just around the block from the action, but very, very quiet. Beautiful grounds - romantic and serene, with a nice pathway between cottages and pools, a serene main pool area, and secluded jacuzzi. Nice, large room - had the Orchid, which has it's own huge upstairs porch with comfortable furniture to relax in, a giant Tommy Bahama super king size bed, and a classy old-fashioned bathroom with claw-foot tub and separate shower. Very friendly and helpful staff - cheerful serving breakfast in the morning, and getting last-minute dinner reservations at Michael's. (But what's with the neighbor's gardener doing that noisy leaf-blowing thing at 7:30 a.m., Saturday and Sunday morning?!!! Please tell them to stop. Don't think you'd hear it if you were in one of the cottages, though.) I highly recommend Simonton Court.

Paradise found!

Atfer weeks of searching for the perfect place to stay, we finally decided on the Simonton Court. And it is the perfect place!!!
The pictures of the rooms on their website are exactly what you get!
The landscape is beautiful! We stayed in the Orange Blossom room & had our own private sundeck, which was probably the same size as the room, big!!!
They have four (4) pools! None of which are ever crowded.
The Simonton Court is PARADISE FOUND!
When we go back again, we will stay again for sure!

Simply The Best

My first visit to Key West and I was lucky enough to spend it at Simonton Court. Beautiful rooms, lush landscaping, privacy, super friendly staff, I can't say enough.It is around the corner from Duval St. So you are close to everything in town. But once you are back at Simonton you are in a whole other quiet private oasis. We stayed in the Bougainvillea room which has the black pool just steps away.Check out their website it has pictures of every room. PERFECT ,PERFECT ,PERFECT !

Top Local Tips for Key West

NOT ALWAYS WHAT YOU HEAR This was our first trip to Key West and we heard it could be a little "honky-tonk". Well, yes it can, but that is part of the fun. We went to and just stook outside some of the many bars on Duval and listened to the music. But once you get away from Duval Street, there are plenty of other things to do. We loved the Hemingway House tour and all the six (and seven) toed cats. We took a wonderful sunset cruise on the schooner Jolly II Rover. Just watching all the performers at Mallory Square is a evenings' entertainment. Anywhere you go, you can make your own fun and we had a great time in Key West.

Manga Manga Restaurant Get there early but the food is worth the wait if you do have to wait

No Cars Needed There are plenty of bicycles, scooters and 'scooter cars' available for rent in Key West. It is much easier to get around in those than cars.
