Top Local Tips for Key West

Souped up Golf Carts/Electric Cars If you plan on really exploring the island and doing a lot of walking rent an electric car. I recommend Sunshine Rentals (Holly and her husband run the place). My husband and I fell on this place because it was down from our hotel. We have been to the island a number of times and have never done this. It was the best thing we ever did. We got to see areas of the island that we never saw before. But remember that you need to find a parking spot for these cars. Sometimes that takes a bit of work.

no repeats in key west, never eat or have a drink at the same place twice. there are too many good places. venture with bikes off of Duvall and find hidden treasure resturants and lounges! for a slow night, check out the Waterfront Theater for good plays starting at 8pm and lasting 2 hours. a wonderful little theater. definately rent bikes and peddle around all the side streets far away from duvall street. the self guided walking tour book is free at the chamber of commerace and will take you to streets that you otherwise may never see. it's fun to do on your own.
