Rude staff

We have never run into a more pretentious, unfriendly and unaccomodating staff. DO NOT offer your hotel for the many travel baseball teams that come to Jupiter with teenagers. There is nothing for them to do outside of the beach, and you have a TINY pool. This hotel is for elderly couples who like to sit and stare. This is not an appropriate place to offer to families with teenagers, so do not present it as such to organizations such as the Junior Olympics. The kids would have been happier at Days Inn, and you would not have had to act like you cared if these families were there or not, but you sure were glad to accept their money!

Deluxe Christmas vacation

from A TripAdvisor Member
We just returned from a wonderful 7 day vacation at the JBResort. Our room was an ocean view suite with direct view of Jupiter Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The room was clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Dark Wood accents, comfortable kingsize bed, deluxe bathrooms with marble tile, bathrobes and spa hygiene products. The room also had a fridge, mini sink, microwave and flat panel tv's. The amenities package at this hotel is also very nice, we found a full service spa, exercise room, heated pool with bar and daily musicians not to mention the huge private beach with beach attendants and cabanas. I see others mentioning the cost of beach chairs, our room came with the free use of beach chairs. In fact we asked for 2 more chairs and when they told us they cost $20 dollars we told the front desk and they removed the cost from our bill. I found the staff to be outstanding. Everything we asked them for was provided. The food was excellent...my only critique of the staff is that it takes too long to get your food in Sinclairs Ocean Grille. Our waitress on 2 occassions provided a free drink or appetizer with out us complaining because the meal took too long to arrive. Overall this was an outstanding and relaxing vacation. We will return again for another stay. We loved this resort.

Wonderful time!

from GrampsD
We had booked 26 guest rooms for our daughters wedding reception at the JBR which varied fron 1 to 3 nights. My wife and I stayed 3 nights and everything was wonderful! Being from NJ, this was a great weather getaway for early Nov.
The staff couldn't have been more helpful to all 60 of us. The rooms are first class with dark wood trim, flat screen tvs, elegant baths and beds so comfortable you have a hard time getting out of them.
The pool area was relaxing and enjoyable. The kids had a great time in the water while the adults had fun outside -eating,drinking( from the pool bar)and lounging in the sun.
The reception was second to none. Everyone had a ball and stated that they would like to return for vacation in the future. Compliments to:Collette, Joey, Brett, Lance, George, Beth and the entire admin & staff

A pearl

from 3pltdad
Spent two nights in August and had a wonderful, relaxing time. Got the cheapest rate from a WPB website which was a city/sunset view on the top floor. We sat on the two chairs on the balcony with a bottle of wine and watched the sun set. The room was not large, but comfortable, especially the king bed. The bathroom amenities were top notch.

The $30/day for beach chairs is outrageous for a beachfront hotel of this caliber. The pool was empty because it was a off season on a weekday so we enjoyed an early morning swim before checking out.

Overall, the place is like a pearl in the sand. It was a nice find for a quick getaway.

Very Upscale Well Maintained. Very Pricey, . Resort Is In A Quiet Area CloseTo Jupiter Inlet. You Are Not Allowed To Bring Coolers To The Beach, And Beach Chairs And Umbrellas Are 30. 00 Dollars Per Day Extra . Watch Out For The Pool Bar Bartender , He Shorted Me 10.00 Dollars And Got Very Rude When I Told Him About IT. Beer Is 4.00 Each. There Is A Publix Grocery Store Just Down The Street That Sells Beer And Wine. Our Room Had A MIni
Bar , That I Could Not Afford To Use. It Also Had Another Refridgerator Which I Stocked With My Own. It Was A Shame That The POOL Bartender Screwed Up All The GoodThe Other Resort Staff Worked Hard On All Week. Good Food At The Crab House Just Down The Street. They Ask you To fill out A Review On Your Stay, Which I Did But No One Ever Contacted Me.

INCREDIBLE. This resort is absolutely beautiful after its recent renovations. Before it was dated and decorated in Teal & Peach (very 1980's Florida) Now it is truly a "Tommy Bahama" feel, dark rich wood, marble floors in the lobby, beautiful red and gold fabrics and drapes. The front desk is mahogany with the most beautiful blackish pinkish granite. It has a great little gift shop that carries "everything". The Spa is almost complete and I snuck down to the basement for a look. It too is decorated impeccably, rich wood floors in the Hair and Nail Salon, with creamy stucco walls...looks like it will have a huge fitness area adjacent to the pool and the Spa Treatment rooms and very calming and soothing...they have water fall features throughout the spa. One room I peeked in is all tile with a drain in the middle of the floor and a "water proof" massage table??? think that is where they will do the mud and seaweed massages then just hose you off! Really Cool. The guest room are beyond description, mine had a sweeping view of the ocean and beach...it was decorated with dark wood beams on the ceiling and muted green walls. The bed was like "heaven" much better than that Westin promotion. The duvet was in a light gold color and the sheets felt as if they were Egyptian Cotton. The private balconies have 2 chairs and a cocktail table which I used daily for breakfast and afternoon cocktails (from the incredibly stocked MiniBar, liquor and mixers to an intimacy kit??? with condoms) they have thought of everything. The baths are all grey marble with white pedestal sinks and lush white linens. They even keep their hair dryers in black velvet pouches in the cabinet...
The food was awesome...the fish tasted as if it were caught that day and was prepared in the most creative ways I have ever experienced. Mango Salsa!!! The Caesar Salad was so-so, who puts tomatoes on a Caesar Salad??? But the Ahi Tuna appy was the best I’ve ever had. The desserts were less than thrilling, crème Brule and mango parfait...but it did satisfy my sweet tooth.
Now the most amazing part was the staff. From the Bell Hops to the Front Office People to the Director of Guest Services no detail went unattended to...I would rate the guest services up there with the Ritz-Carlton Company and the Four Seasons. The Pool Boy offered me a chilled wash cloth and an individual mister bottle filled with iced water (never have I experienced such incredible service at a pool) I can not recall having a better time at a beach resort. The pricing may be considered steep by some, but compared to the service I received it was a bargain to me! I can not recommend this resort enough! I have told all my friends and family (some of whom have already gone) and really wanted to share this info here.

Wonderful Stay at Jupiter Beach Resort

from megny
My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at JBR. Our room was wonderful, newly remodeled and spacious. It had a flat screen television, nice bed linens, very nice bathroom, and a small kitchen area with a sink and mini-refrigerator.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They struck a nice balance between being aware of what we needed and available to help and being overbearing.

The food at the Sinclair Grill and the Sand Bar was good. A few of the sandwiches and fish dishes were very good - much better than I expected for hotel food. The waitress also recommended a restaurant called the Jetty down the street and it had delicious seafood.

The beach was very nice - well maintained and not crowded. The only downside was that the beach chairs cost $30 A DAY to rent. We opted to use just our free beach towels and not spend the extra money, but the beach chair concession was not very happy about that. Oh well. The towels were included in the stay and we could request as many as we needed. The pool was nice, as well. It isn't fancy, but there are plenty of lounge chairs and it is a fairly large pool. My boyfriend's only complaint was that the wait staff didn't come to the pool enough to take drink orders.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. The physical space is lovely, the staff is very service oriented, and the beach is nice. Jupiter is a nice little town and Palm Beach is a short drive away if you need fancy shopping.

ll be back

First off let me say that I was concerned when I read some of the negative reviews from summer 2004. However, when I arrived I realized they were entirely off the mark with respect to Summer 2005! We went to visit some relatives and chose to stay here. The room was quite swanky.

-Dark crown moulding
-wood beams in the ceiling
-a nice LCD TV
-an amazing pillow top king size bed like sleeping on a cloud
-a shower with marble walls
-2 refrigerators (an honor bar fridge, and a regular general purpose fridge).

The hotel had obviously been renovated since the 2004 reviews. My uncle said that he believed the hotel had suffered some damage from the '04 summer hurricaines, and my gf and I put 2 and 2 together and came to the conclusion that all unexpected renovation mentioned in the bad reviews here from 2004, was probably the hotel taking the opportunity to redo everything with whatever insurance money they must've gotten. In any case, the place is great. It is a little bit unassuming as you pull up to the front door in your car as others may have mentioned, but don't let that stop you from considering this place. Some things that I didn't like:

-If you want to rent a swanky lounger and umbrella on the beach it'll cost you $30/day!
-The $5 surcharge they tried to apply for the maid service. Never in my life have I had a hotel try to charge extra for that.

All told, the pros outweighed the cons. My SO was impressed. I enjoyed it myself. My uncle said it was the hotel to stay at in Jupiter, and I *will* be back.

The furnishings here are very nice. The rooms are smallish but we had a nice stay. I really don't know why it qualifies as a resort. It is gated and there is not much to do. The pool is pretty and so is the beach, but that is all there is.

Great Family Resort

from A TripAdvisor Member
This was our first visit to Jupiter. We choose Jupiter because my husband and sons wanted to see the St.Louis Cardinal and Springfield Cardinals in Spring Training. We were pleasantly surprised. This resort and staff are fabulous. I would discribe the atmosphere as "Eligantly casual."
The boys went to the ball games and I relaxed on the beach in my cabanna and read and visited with the other guests.
We can not wait to go back next Spring Break.

Nice Surprise

from A TripAdvisor Member
We wanted a weekend getaway and this place was great. The hotel was nicely remodeled and the staff was nice. If you want to get good info about the area speak with Johanthan who works at the door. I got a good price on line, but I would never pay this hotel's rates during high season. Even thought we had a great experience, it certainly it is not a a premier resort by any measure.

So if you want a nice resort. with elegant rooms, and very well located this place will do just fine. One more thing the food in the beach cafe was awesome!!

Top Local Tips for Jupiter

Someone said There weren't alot of choices for dining...If you go up the main highway into the beach, there is amazing amounts of stripmalls and places to dine.

Blowing Rock Must go- even if the waves aren't blowing the water up through the rocks, getting down in the sand & water & walk amongst the rock formations. Absolutely amazing. Kids would have a great time exploring.

The Jupiter Lighthouse Unless you are a lighthouse fan, I'd skip the tour You get a great view of the Jupiter Lighthouse from jetty's restaurant.
