If you are looking for a hotel that is CLEAN, moderately priced, and very close to downtown attractions this is it! I was in Jacksonville for a week for a conference. I was booked for a pricey hotel. After one night I switched to the Hampton. Rooms are smaller but just as nice or nicer. Rooms are cleaner. Staff are more attentive and responsive. A full hot breakfast bar, all day beverages - cookies or popcorn at night, friendly staff, and free parking are major advantages. Free parking alone saves about 10 dollars daily. My only drawback was transportation to the convention hotel across the river daily. That was solved when I discovered a free shuttle from the convention site that picks provided transportation to and from that hotel within a 3 mile radius, and cheap parking at City Hall. Worked for me and I was able to remain "at home" in the Hampton.
