I stayed at the Manta Ray in with my family in October 2005 for my brother's wedding. It was comfortable, beautiful and reasonable! Right on the ocean, doesn't get any better.

Top Local Tips for Hollywood

Fun place to eat Taverna Opa was a lot of fun and great Greek food. Went on a Wednesday night (off-season) and the place was hopping! Everyting from a college reunion to a sweet 16 birthday party.

Boradwalk If you enjoy an evening stroll, it's worthwhile to walk north about a 1/2 mile ot the "Broadwalk", which has a cross section of little ethnic restaurants and shops.

Finding those hidden hotels and motels When I am searching for a place to stay, sometimes 6 months before arriving, I use Trip Advisor map part to pinpoint where I want to stay. (Right on the beach, or right on the strip, or right near the National Park, etc.) Then I use the yellow pages on MSN. I look up hotels and the city, then find the ones on the street where I want to be. Several of the smaller hotels motels cannot afford to advertise with Travelocity or the other big name travel search engines.
