What a dump

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When we arrived the first room we were given had a terrible odor and looked terrible. We were given a second room, the smell was gone, but the room was still a "dump". We had two Double Beds. The mattress on each bed did not fit the frame. The electrical power kept going out each time someone leaned against the headboard. After 3-4 requests, approx 2 days, someone came to fix it. He pulled the bed out and twisted the wires together again. No matter how many times we requested 4 towels and 4 wash clothes (there were 4 of us), we were never given them. Sometimes we received 2 or 3, but never 4. The "Free" breakfast was small and most of the time gone before we could get to it. We returned to Ft. Lauderdale 2 more times over the last 2 years. We stayed at the Sheraton Trader. Yes, it is more expensive, but when you are on vacation, don't you want to be treated "special", to come have your room cleaned daily, to know that everything around you is CLEAN. If you stay at the Travelodge, you won't see it. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
