Not so bad for the $$$

The location was lovely amid several high rise condos and other resorts. The rooms could have stood some refurbishing and the common areas were in need of a good make over. However, the location was amazing and the service was good for a low budget hotel. The pool was clean and big. There was an outside Tiki Bar that looked over the pool, beach and ocean. They have a B.B.Q that sits up on the weekends to fix hamburgers and hot dogs. There were plenty of locals and activity all around. Good atmosphere and excellent location. I would stay again for a short weekend.
Horrible Service

One of the worst experiences ever!!! I have never stayed in a hotel with that poor of accommodations and service. Lodged here for five nights, and received cleaning services only one day in which possessions were missing afterwards. Staff was not helpful or pleasant, and never received working lamps for the room.
Very disappointing!

Very disappointing. Our room was an efficiency which meant a microwave on top of the small frig. Stains on the carpet and the mattress was bigger than the box spring. You should pass on this one.

Wonderful Experience!!!

Me and three friends stayed at Ocean Manor Resort for a week over the summer. We had an excellent time. We stayed in a privately owned condo but saw several hotel rooms and they were also very nice. The pool and ocean area was beautiful and the hotel was kept up nicely! Not to mention the wonderful staff. We became close friends with some staff members and everyone was extremely kind. We had such a great time theres no question to whether or not we're coming back...see ya next year!!

Amazing!!! beautifully decorated apartment with all the "spoiling futures" that a great vacation apartment could have, dvd, tv, games, free internet hookup, private phone line, very high quality bed sets, very comfy!! when my family got there late friday night we were tired --so ew were very surprised and happy to find a fruit basket, three different kinds of coffee, sparkling water,WINE,and lots of other munchies. there was even chocolates on the beds! my wife loves to cook and bake - she was so happy with all of the stuff in the kitchen. the owner knew we had small kids so there was juice and milk in the fridge and ice cream in the freezer. !, new, nice, neat, and the best part of it!!! you go down the elevator and you are on the beach, great situation for relaxing yourself, very cozy pool area!!! very nice people in the tiki bar, very happy, and at night, pleanty of good times at the happy hour in the lounge. I stayed for 3 weeks and I had a great time!!! highly recommended !
thanks to the rental agent who insisted that private units in this hotel are a far different experience than from the hotel. my experience in unit 711 was concidered by us a stroke of luck.

Forget the negative

We recently returned from vacation and had a great experience at this resort. We did reserve from a private owner, but also looked at other units run by the hotel. these units have been updated and are very nice. You could not get a better deal there than at this location. The staff at the hotel was excellent. We could not have been more relieved after reading the reviews about this hotel.Forget all the negative reviews and go enjoy yourself. Excellent location, great beach, great staff.

Raddison is better

from A TripAdvisor Member
I went there and wanted to have a nice trip for a nice price on the water. The rooms were gross and there were bugs in the beds. I had to switch rooms about 3-4 times untill we could find a clean one. They were very unorganized, I asked for a general manager and a 20 year old kid comes out in jeans and a t-shirt hat on sideways and wanted to know what he could help with. Then I had to argue with him and he was no help. I moved next door to the Radison and it was a lot better. Do not waste your time or money there it is not worth it. go next door to the Radison. Ocean Manor is a joke and was not the right place for a vacation.

Wolf in Sheeps clothing!

Hotel Hell it should be renamed. My mother and I were looking for some sun and relaxation. We got the sun but the rooms here are hell. I booked through a travel web site. Guaranteed to have at least a refrigerator , microwave and two beds. We arrived late and the "night manager" was rude. He tried to stick us with a unequipped room and could have cared less if we were alive. He had more interest in his cell phone call. We picked this place for the above amentities. I spent most of the late night and next AM trying to get another hotel. With NO luck. The next day we had our room moved on the same floor with an ocean view. This room was bigger but AWFUL. The whole experience was Disgusting. 35 years ago this might have been nice. It is part Crummy rotten hotel. Part Nursing Home. Think South Beach before it was revived. The term resort should be used loosely as well as hotel as a descriptitve. Never again!

Not worth $150 a night, maybe for 59.95

My mother, daughter and myself were looing or a nice warm getaway at a decent hotel! We got the warm weather but the hotel is another story.
We walked in to a beautiul clean lobby and could see the pool and beach which was great! We no sooner got up to our first room and asked to be changed because it was not very clean and because we paid extra for oceanfront. Our next room seemed a little better, with a small kitchenette and a balcony. I walked out onto the balcony supposedly ocean front only to see the hotel and their parking lot next door, if you looked to your right you could catch a glimpse of the ocean. The sliding bathroom door was off the hinges and moldy, it could not be closed! The Cabinets in the kitchenette were broke and just sitting there, no handle on the fridge. There was mold and dust in the AC vents. The sliding balcony door could not be locked, we were 3 floors up but still, the blinds were broken and the people across the way could see right in! We called about the room not being oceanfront and they told us we had the best room and oceanview and front were the same thing! No Way! We did look for another hotel but were unsuccessful. The only thing this hotel has to offer is location, beautifully located on the beach with a nice pool area. If you don't mind surrendering room cleanliness and appearence than this hotel is for you.

checked out same day!!

Don't be fooled by the fact that this place looks nice from the road! The first room they tried to put us in (on 4th floor) had no room phone, a moldy, ancient bathroom straight from the 50's, almost non-existent lighting, and worst of all, a balcony doorwall that had no locking mechanism. Giving it another try, we moved to a 2nd floor room. This room had decent lighting & appeared to be mostly renovated (except for the ancient bathroom), but had a balcony door wall that wouldn't close all the way & again had NO locking mechanism. When I called the front desk to discuss these problems, the clerk told me should could send someone from Maintenance to check it out ---THE NEXT MORNING! When I asked to talk to a manager, she said no manager is on duty at night. Giving them one last chance, we moved to room #3. This room had a very strong smell of paint (as if it were painted the day before) & this time, we couldn't open the balcony doorwall to air it out. Like the first room, there was no phone. Also, there was trash in the bathroom waste basket & the dresser drawers. Room #3 was the last straw--we checked out within an hour of arriving!!!

Had a great room and view

I rented my room , which was third floor oceanfront, from a private owner. The room was reasonably priced, nicely decorated, very clean, and had a wonderful view of the Atlantic The hotel is located in a good spot and within walking distance of alot of restaurants.

This place is terrible.

This place is terrible. We arrived with a large group of people, most of whom packed up and moved next door to the Ramada, which is much, much nicer. Mold in the bathrooms and around the air conditioning vents. no towels or hangers. Sheets and blankets were dirty and had holes. The rooms were dirty and smelled. Does not even rate one star as far as we are concerned!!

I, along with several members of the Women's Rugby Team from Naples stayed at your hotel on November 14th & 15th . I was VERY displeased with the accomodations. I had a room on the second floor. My patio door did NOT lock. It would have been very easy for someone to get into my room through that door from the outside. When I went to get into my room on Saturday night, the door from the hallway to my room would not open. I had to get security and he worked for over 15 minutes before the door finally opened. By the looks of the door and door jam, it looks like a LOT of other people had trouble getting in.

The lobby of the hotel was beautiful, but the hallways and rooms were terrible!!! I will NOT be coming back to this facility and definitely will steer anyone I know away from it.

Top Local Tips for Fort Lauderdale

Best food and Vintage shopping for all, even antiques! Best location, close to hip restaurants you can walk to, great vintage stores and boutiques, loved lauderdale by the sea, great food

getting around you really don't need a rental car if you can walk a quarter mile.

DUMP In Lauderdale By The Sea I recently booked a stay at the Ocean Manor Beach Resort in Lauderdale-By the Sea. After checking in I could NOT have been more disappointed in my choice. The rooms were dirty, chipped or unpainted walls smelled of mildew just unbelievable. I am still wondering where they got the pictures they posted on there web site, They sure were not any of the 3 rooms I was switched me to before demanding my money back and leaving to find an CLEAN place to stay.
