Nightmare Hotel

This Hotel was terrible. It was dirty, the bathroom door would not even shut, the molding around the room was rotted away from the wall, there was mold all over the back of the bathroom door. I didn't want to even take my shoes off. The staff were not at all helpful. I would not ever stay here again and I has left me with the thought that I will not stay at another Howard Johnson hotel again. The only one thing that it had going for it was that it was right across from the beach. The whole experience was very bad...

The Howard Johnson Ocean's Edge was a pleasent surprise. Its an old hotel with charm. Clean,very nice rooms,very nice staff,a paper at your door every morning,and a view of the Beautiful Florida Ocean,from a private balcony. Worth every penny,and very reasonable.25 Yards from a beautiful clean beach. A VERY Helpful staff,ready to give directions,attractions,or just information. I'd give this 9 out of 10 stars. I don't reccomend the eatery in the hotel,pricey,and poor quality ,but they do have an EDY's Ice Cream Stand in the Hotel,A Tiki Bar,and a Nice Little Lounge for drinks inside. A Very nice Vacation week of 5/11/05.
