Not The Best Location
For the most part, this is a typical Hampton Inn although it's located in a rather rough area. It's a few blocks away from dining and entertainment, but I felt uncomfortable walking in the area after dark. There are quite a few abandoned buildings near by and many vagrants walking around.
Service at the hotel is slow and not as friendly as other Hampton Inns. On the plus side the rates are reasonable, rooms a clean and the breakfast is good.
We purchased a room package that was to include transportation to the cruise port. Upon arrival the front desk confirmed we had the cruise package and added our names to the shuttle schedule. When we were dropped off at the port the driver asked for $11 per person. When I questioned the cruise package we were told that the shuttle was provided but at an extra cost.
