We were there February 2006. We had two rooms on different floors. Management is redoing the entire hotel so there is some mess. Both of our rooms were quite adequate and very roomy. We saw no bugs or other major problems. The elevators are very slow so be patient. Some were out of commission. The view is fantastic and all had balconies. The help was fine and friendly. Forget the small restaurant as it is understaffed and slow. There are better places close by. We were arbitrarily charged for the safe in our room. This was irritating and petty. Why not just add it to the room price up front or forget it. They are trying hard to redo the entire hotel which was needed. I would stay there again. The price is right!

Great hotel that is perfect for everyone
The Hawaiian Inn is a great hotel that is perfect for everyone. A couple of my friends and I stayed here last summer and enjoyed everything about it. It is a friendly atmosphere and is very outgoing and welcoming.

Best place ever!
My family and I stayed here for a week in 2000 we thought it was the best place to stay, our family stays here everytime they go to Florida. The staff is so nice. We felt at home all the time. The cafe' well it was like eating in Mom's kitchen. We loved the Hawaiian Luau. When staying there it is as if you are staying in Florida and Hawaii at the same time. The Bar was nice. Family friendly. The grounds are awsome. The beach was clean and well supervised. We rarly left the grounds of the Inn, but when we did it was in a location that was close to some great places, recommended by the staff. Really they know the best places to go, they live there. In all this is the best vacation a family could have. We are staying for another week in 2005 leaving in two days. Can't wait.
Stayed here in late March of 03. The hotel is somewhat in older condition. The elevator smelled like a huge oil pit the elevator is only big enough for about 5 adults. The laundry room was flooded, The restaurant is nothing more than a diner type place, but the food was definitly edible. Bought some things at the Small gift shop downstairs like my Daytona Beach 2003 t shirt which I wear all the time. The rooms are ok nothing fancy but no blood stains or other that I could notice. Just kidding the rooms are just fine, but the best thing about this place is the view from the room, and your own private balcony to enjoy it.
