The view was beautiful, but that was the only thing to recomment this hotel. Our very large 2 bedroom apartment was dirty. The furniture and carpet was stained. The refrigerator had mold in it. The rooms in general had seen better days. Obn top of everything else, the staff tries to sell you a travel club for thousands of dollars and with very high pressure sales. We travel extensively and this was one of the worst experiences we have had in recent years.

I'm an owner at the resort I made my reservation almost 8 months ago asking for a ground floor unit on the north end new section just like the sales rep was so kind putting everything on a gold platter then once I sign I was kicked to the crub another one bits the dust. I have given every chance to see how they would attend my request and services just from bad to worst every Year. I was told that the front desk would change my room to a vip on the second floor well what was so Vip about it this room was just like the one I was stay in and bathroom sink cloded up stove did not have heat temp dial indicator I'm going to try and get ridd of this resort time share in the mean time I will bank my week to go to a better place in orlando area. I was cheated at the time of sale I feel I was lyed too. not good!! Anybody out there going to this resort GOOD Luck.......

My son, his girlfriend, and myself stayed at the Grand Sea Resort, Jan 5th - Jan 12th. The staff was nice, Front Desk was helpful. The Condo we stayed in must have been redone not long ago, everything was top notch.

The kids went to Nascar's Fan Fest at the Daytona Track. We go to Daytona the same time every year. If I can exchange my week, for Grand Sea Resort next year I will.

This is not the place to go to get away from it all. It is loud and full of kids, but no more so than another other family friendly place. We are owners and have been for 7 years. My son is 13 and my daughter is 7. Yes, in a few years I would love to trade out and go somewhere different, but for now it is great for the kids. It is also DIRECTLY across the street from Publix and Ruby Tuesday's, which is really convenient. You never have to get in your car to go to the store. As for the fact that is has no balconies, well, if you have kids you will see this as a good thing too.

This resort is in bad need of updating. Be very aware that there are no balconies. I noticed that this is the only beach front property with no balconies. Why have beach front if you can sit out and enjoy it? Our suite was in bad need of updating. The refrigerator door and microwave were rusting. The air conditioner unit was so loud it was difficult sleeping. During the summer the resort hires a Disc Jockey to play music in the pool area which just happens to be below every room in the resort so all day there is loud blaring music being played and very annoying. It is my opinion that this resort should be ranked as a 3 star resort. There are far too many other nicer resorts to waste your money on this one.

Very Satisfied with the Resort!

The resort was clean, lots of amenities, nice little golf course, four pools! Right on the Beach! Great place to go for newcomers! I'd recommend it!

Did not like!!!!!!!!!!!

from A TripAdvisor Member
We were there on our honeymoon. The room was tiny, there was not any parking, there was not any carpet in the room so when you walked barefooted on the tile your feet turned black. When were walking down the street enjoying our day we had a couple people who worked there approach us trying to talk us into coming there to their open house, that was annoying. I took a bath and turned on the jets and a bunch of dirt came out of the jets, we had roaches in our room---BIG ONES. The beach was nice but the hotel sucked. The cleaning people didn't even clean like they were suppose to.

t ever buy a timeshare here

This is one resort you never want to buy a time share from. It will be the most horrible experience you will ever encounter.

We love the Grand Seas

Both myself and my partner have stayed here on our holidays for two years running now and will be returning in September. All of our dealings with them have been fabulous - so much so we don't want to stay anywhere else. Our apartment has always been clean and tidy and to honest if you are clean and tidy yourself you don't need house keeping to come in more than twice a week! I highly recommend this resort and am very much looking forward to returning in SeptemberFee Davison - Edinburgh

not my idea of a resort

from A TripAdvisor Member
I was very disappointed with this "Resort" it is no different than any hotel. There was no carpet in ourroom, only tile which after you walked around awhile your feet were black. We were in a room that had a great view of some outside storagebuilding to which were told we could not change rooms. The staff are all very rude and veryaccomidating.House keeping only comes two days of the week.It was just a VERY bad place to spend avacation. Will never stay here again.

Will not go back!

My husband and I selected Grand Seas Resort because it was highly rated by our Interval Time Share Company. We were so disappointed. The place is badly in need of repair. One evening we had water pouring from the ceiling of the bath. It was coming from a shower that the guest above us was taking. The plumbing is very old and regular maintenance doesn't seem to happen. Bathroom fixtures were rusty; nicks in wall were painted over but not filled in, etc. Certainly, not the first class accomodation that we were expecting.

Horrible

We get there and it takes forever to get room, after 2 days our room is dirty so they come in the management when we werent in room and they steal IDs our of 2 wallets and we dont find out untill the night b4 we leave and that caused so many problems.. chair was broke when we got there and still made us pay $100 for it. They don't care about you at all. the Security guards are very kind. ATM didnt work. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Best Place To Stay!

from A TripAdvisor Member
It is the best place ever to stay! it is so much fun with the activities and eveything! the pools and hot tubs are always clean and so is the pool deck! the sand is very nice no trash or anything and if you have a problem just call the front and they will help you as soon as they can! Don't belive the people that say there are things rong with it because they can be fixed! and the exercise room is VERY NICE!

Barely average, not great

from A TripAdvisor Member
The room was too expensive, the floors were sticky and left black marks on our feet. The washers and dryers don't work well, no none on the second floor. The street is too busy and the restaurants are attatched giving you only one menu. This is only a 2-3 star facility.

Stealers!!

My husband and I stayed there for one night beginning our honeymoon... we were scheduled to leave on a cruise later the next day and we had asked for a late check-out... someone okay'd it and we left a little later than the check-out time... maybe one hour.... after our honey moon i come to find out that they had charged us for two nights and still I have been unable to get out money back!

Top Local Tips for Daytona Beach

How to save money on nightlife Try to buy a nightlife week pass if you can, at the beginning of your trip. Cover charges get expensive, and nearly unaffordable on certain nights! Beware of people selling fake passes.

local museum and flea market the local Museum of Arts and Sciences is very interesting and has excellent exhibits and art collection. Flea market is open fri-sat-sun and is great for the whole family, fresh juice and produce. go early, get there by 9 a.m. and avoid the heat and crowds.
