The room was dirty, the halls were filthy, the elevator was smelly and dirty. The lounge, McCormicks i think it is, was loud, and noisy. You had to walk thru the bar to get to the pool and beach music was very very very loud. I demanded my money back and left to find another hotel. It was terrible. This hotel should have a minus 5 stars..terrible terrible.

Peeping Toms no big deal?

Housekeeping staff refused to change linens upon request. Manager thought it was no big deal that we were beng spied on through a tampered peep hole. Caught two men peeping in, then found out that the staff was aware of the fact that you could stand in the hall and see everything going on in our room. Why did the Manager deem this as no big deal? Because the image was upside-down! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone wanting security or service.

What are these people talking about. I was surfing and found this site. After reading my conclusion is these people are crucifying the whole building because of the front desk clerks. They are very rude and not helpful at all. There is a quick fix for that; rent from private owners, then the only contact you have with those @$%&*#! is to get your key card and parking pass. Everything you need will be furnished in the room, and the private rooms are “very” nice, clean, and pleasing to the eye. Not only that Jack and Diane the Pub owners are two exceptionally nice and fun people. The food is good also! As a matter of fact everybody at the hotel goes out of their way to help, and make you day bright and happy except for the front desk. Every place has their down falls.
I have made my reservation for next year already. The fountain Beach is within walking distance to all the attractions, and as somebody else said it is a much more economical than most places in the loop. That saves me money to SPEND on having fun.

They didn't have the room we reserved. The band from the pool could be heard from the rooms, not good for little ones. The floors were dirty. The halls were dark. The whole place inside out was just nasty. Spend an extra 20 bucks and stay at the Adam's mark. Their location is better and the whole place is 100% better.

My wife and I stayed here during Bike Week. We rented the 1BRsuite and loved it! It slept 6 and had a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. We had a great view of the ocean and location to the pier. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony chairs and listening to the beach. I was concerned about parking due to other reviews but it was suficient even during the crowded bike week. We did have a parking decal to put on our windshieldbut then it was fine. I will definitely stay again.

Location, Location, Location!

We live in Orlando and love to get away for a few days and unwind.

We love staying close to the pier and boardwalk. We walk down for dinner and movies.

The area is relaxed and a kick back casual sort of atmosphere.

Love to people watch, as everyone walks along this "World Famous Beach" Lot's of history.

We have driven over to Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Sarasota. Too stuffy, too many old people. Not that I dislike old people, I am getting up there too, but would rather see a nice mixture of young people strolling the beach and having fun.

We will come back to the Fountain Beach. :o)

Nice clean large comfortable room

we enjoyed our stay at the Fountain Beach, granted the music was loud at the tiki bar but we couldnt hear it in our room, the rooms are pretty well soundproof, we stayed in room 222 and it was very clean and comfortable, you couldnt beat the price or location.

Couldn't beat the location! We were down the street from the movie and shopping complex and in the middle of all the gift shops and restaurants. The room was clean and nicely furnished with all the cooking paraphernalia you need. Not that I was cooking; I was using the restaurants. Who has time to cook on vacation? The whole family had a wonderful time. If you plan to go to Daytona rent from Sheila Cox. She was very helpful answering questions and even sent a map to help us find the hotel. Her rooms are nice and clean. Happy Family From Tyler

I seriously could not believe my eyes when I read the horrible reviews for this hotel, although I'm sure that the only people who come on here are the ones who want to complain... and I'm sure many of them are being honest, but I think a lot of anger over one thing that was wrong with their stay is causing them to let it out on the hotel. I don't know what it is that people expect from a BEACH hotel, but they are going to get exactly that... a beachy hotel, with people running in and out from the beach, music playing outside, people driving by, noise from the streets (barely heard from the rooms), and sure a few things here and there that may need to be fixed... but who are these people that expect to walk in to a perfectly clean perfectly fixed up hotel that is RIGHT on the beach? I totally love this place, I go when I'm on my spring break, or just want to relax and listen to the ocean.. it's great, it's close to everything! restuarants, movie theater, the pier, attractions... I couldn't ask for more unless I pay a LOT more... and at an affordable price you are getting everything you need here... and if this site would allow me to I would list my phone number or email address so you could contact me and I could tell you this myself! I promise you if your open minded to having a good time or a relaxing time, that can be done at the Fountain Beach... just don't go into it looking for all the bad things and you will have an amazing time that will forever be remembered.

I love the location, and the rooms meet all of my expectation. My family and I have enjoyed our stay so much that we have come back serveral times, and will continue our stays at Fountain Beach.

Top Local Tips for Daytona Beach

Sunscreen / Don't forget the sunscreen. Don't ruin your vacation by laying in the sun without sunscreen. I know you wll want a nice tan, but to get burned and feel terrible for a couple days isn't worth it. REMEMBER TO PROTECT YOURSELF WITH SUNSCREEN. You will still get a nice tan. Just DON"T get burned...you will feel awful. The sun is strong and your skin isn't used to it. Take it easy in the sun and put lots of sunscreen on. You will be glad you did. I had a couple friends get very burned and it ruined their trip.

Ocean Deck If you stay in Daytona Beach, do yourself a favor and walk over to the Ocean Deck restaurant which is a few yards south of the Main St. Pier. The food is good with prices to match. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is friendly. Will definitely go back to Ocean Deck next time I'm in town.

Love Daytona Beach / I now know why they call it I would suggest going in September, November, or May. It's quiet and you will have the entire beach to yourself. If you want all the excitments and people all over, then go in July, August, April. Great area, and lots to do. Best location on the beach. Close to the pier and boardwalk. YOuc an walk to the Ocean Complex and restaurants and movies.
