We enjoyed our stay at your hotel. We were traveling with our parents and they were very excited with the ocean front rooms and the kitchenette accomodation available inside the room.

Top Local Tips for Daytona Beach

Always check with tripadvisor I find after going to Daytona for over 25 years, it is now best to stay at a vacation condo. You can get them almost everywhere. Ebay etc. Most of the budget or Small lodgings ar old and you really are not getting a bargin. You will not be getting a great hotel for anything less than 150.00 dollars. Please check out the reviews as well. The closer to the pier the better.

Ponce De Leon Lighthouse This is a wonderful place to visit when in the Daytona area. The property is well kept and there are several buildings to visit other than the lighthouse. We took a walk on thier nature path and were able to see a bunch of lizzards, a snake (kind of scary) and some beautiful cardinals along with the lovely flowers and plants. Getting up the lighthouse took effort as it is the tallest lighthouse in Florida but once at the top the view is spectacular.

Free parking My daughter was staying at the Palms Resort right downtown and they were nice enough to let us have a parking pass for the weekend so that we could walk to the National Cheer Competition without having to pay to park in the parking structure. (Wish we had known this the first day!) We were staying about five miles south of there. (We payed $8.00 the first day and were told we would have to pay again when we came back later that evening) I thought there was supposed to be an $8.00 maximum per day!
