The worst mold and bugs

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever seen, there were bugs in the room glass all over the bathroom floor but the worst of it was the mold all over the furniture. I refused to stay yet they charged me for nights lodging. I told them that if I was paying to not stay there that they could expect a visit from the health department and so now I am going to call and see if there is anything the health department can do to either clean the place up or close it down... last I heard mold was a health hazard...

My husband and I recently spent a week at the Daytona Inn and loved it! Our room looked out over the beach and the ocean and we enjoyed having a kitchen so we did not have to venture out for meals except when we wanted to. The staff was especially friendly and helpful and the location is the best in daytona. We will go back next year.

I had been planning a Daytona Beach trip for six months. When I arrived at the hotel I was told they had no record of the reservations I made six months in advance, and that there were no rooms available. I was forced to drive back home that evening because I could not find another room anywhere in the area.

Very Dissapointed August 2004

The rooms were very very dirty. There were bugs everywhere and the pool was not cleaned on a daily basis. The carpet was very nasty. I was very dissapointed with our room and maid service during our vacation. I will NEVER consider this hotel again. Thanks.

Terrific Vacation

We had an adorable ocean front room with a kitchenette. We had our own patio overlooking the pool and ocean. The maids were very polite and took excellent care of us, also the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. We will be back in Daytona shortly and hopefully we can request the same newly remodeled room.

I don't know what hotel they used when they put the pictures on the web site, but those are not the ones in the resort!! To start out with the elevator was nasty, the walkways to the rooms had trash
etc all over. In the rooms there were 3 lamps , only one worked, and I got shocked when I tried to turn one of the other ones on! There was a ceiling fan in the room, it had a light fixture on it with 4 bulbs, and only ONE was working. The picture window was nasty and the bind would only go a fourth of the way back, so you could not see out of the window. The door to the balcany was so hard to get open you had to put your foot on the door facing and pull with all your might to get it open. Getting it to close was another story too. The room was moldy, and the carpet was nasty- you feet were black when you walked on it. I was very disappointed with it, thank goodness we only had to stay one night. The rest of the places we stayed were great- and the kicker was this was the one we
payed the most to stay in. Should have done a better job checking this one out!

My family and I visited relatives last week in Daytona Beach. My mother told me about Daytona Inn--close to the Boardwalk, restaurants, a park closeby for my kids. I didn't expect the Hilton and I didn't pay the Hilton rates. Staff was friendly to us and the manager came out and spoke to us telling us to enjoy our stay and let her know if anything was wrong. Our room was very comfortable and had a little kitchen. Folks-we will go back.

I recently took a trip to Daytona and stayed at the Daytona Beach Inn Resort, and had a wonderful experience. Rooms were just delightful...tile floors, spacious rooms, clean, kitchenette with dining area, and a spectacular view of the ocean. I would recommend staying at the Daytona Beach Inn Resort for the quality of the rooms, as well as the reasonable room prices. Check it out for yourself. I was glad I made this incredible find, and I will go back to stay at the Daytona Beach Inn Resort.

Discusting place to stay!!

When we reserved our room, we reserved a ground floor. When we arrived we were told there was not one available. As we unpacked we noticed that there were 2 ground floor rooms vacant!. What was worse was when we got to the room it was filthy. Not only had it not been cleaned from the previous tentant, the sheets had not been changed (there was someone elses hair on the sheets!.) The bed spreads looked like they had not been washed in years. They were stained with blood and who knows what else and had holes as big as my hand. The toilet was dirty and broken, the shower was filthy and dripped all night. There is no quiet time so you can get to sleep. People were in the pool all night yelling and partying, (although the sign says 9:00 am till sunset) setting off fire works on the beach all hours of the night. I can not believe the health department lets these people get away with renting these rooms. The people who wrote good reviews must be talking about the hotel down the road with a similar name because it was not the Daytona Inn Beach Resort that we stayed in. Do not get it confused, it is right at the beginning of the no drive part of the beach.

This place by far is the dirtiest place I have ever stayed. Our room was fiflthy. The carpet was so dirty your feet would be BLACK if you took ten steps without shoes. There was also mold and mildew all over the bathroom and room vents. I had to buy air freshners (4) because the room smelled horrible. Outside was just as bad. Cigarette butts were everywhere: by the pool and all over the ground. Certain areas smelled like urine (stairwells and where you access the beach). Even though it said no pets allowed there were lots of dogs around! Owners would let them urinate on garbage cans of the floor in which they were staying. No working ice machines. Office staff was rude. I do not know what they or security did all day because you never saw them! Some rooms are apparently nice but they are privately owned and are only used by personal friends and family. Even the landscaping was a mess. It was overgrown and garbage was throughout. I could go on and on ... Very, very disappointed. WILL NEVER GO BACK! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE!

The hotels staff was very rude to my family and myself. The door was broken to my hotel room and there was no mantience avabile in the hotel to fix it. We arrived to the hotel early and the women at the front desk told us that our room was ready but when my family and I proceeded to the room it was uncleaned. All of the staff at the hotel were very very very rude. The manager was very rude to me and took no responbility for any of the following things that went wrong in the hotel room I was provided.

Had a awesome time at this resort. I will be going back again in january. the staff were really pleasant and helpful. the rooms were nice and clean and we had a wonderful ocean front view from our room. Loved it!!! I miss it just writing about it. would reccommend this resort to anyone heading to daytona.

California Patio Grill Great little privately owned Grill on the corner of the hotel at the beach. The owners are wonderful and they make you feel right at home. Wonderful place to hang out, meet new freinds and grab a bite to eat. (Try the Italian Beef Sandwhich and Fries). Tell Angie and Val hey from Kim.

Daytona Lagoon If your looking for a place that had great water activities and air conditioning inside, this is a great place for the kids and adults. It even has a sports bar that overlooks the water park for close watch on the kids.
