Best hotel I ever stayed in

This is a great hotel. When you left you got bottled water and some days you get fresh chocolate chip and raisin cookies. They also have candy bars that you can eat. It is also right by the oceanfront and survived 3 hurricanes without damage. The room is nice with a great view of the ocean. I wish the hotels in California would have good rates like they do in Florida.

My husband and I recently stayed the weekend in Daytona Beach at The Bahama House! Wow, what a great experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, our room was beautiful and very clean. The view was perfect. We truly found our new favorite Daytona Beach hotel!

Disappointed

We stayed at the Bahama House in June 2004 and were disappointed with our stay. The front desk staff was not as pleasant as I would have liked, they answered your questions but were not friendly. The ceiling in room was really dirty as well as the shower and tile on the floor. We had an oceanfront room so the view was wonderful but I think it was overpriced for what we had. We have stayed at the Nautilus Inn down the street for years but decided to try something different. We will be back at the Nautilus next year.

I stayed here in my first leg of a trip to Daytona, and I am so glad I did. The staff were all very courteous, the hotel was very clean, the rooms were beautiful. I could not say more positive things about the whole place! I will NEVER stay anywhere else again (I tried to- read review on Desert Inn- BEWARE).

I HIGHLY reccomend this place. And this comes from someone who used to live on Daytona Beach.

Very relaxing, clean and enjoyable

In July 2002 we stayed at Bahama House for two nights. We really enjoyed ourselves. We were booked there through a vacation package we bought so perhaps we got royal treatment compared to normal. I don't really think so because we only got a normal hotel room, not a suite. It was clean and comfortable.

Bahama House was not busy or crowded. There were ample enough lounge chairs on the deck for tanning and soaking up the sun and the close proximity to the beach was heavenly. The "happy hour" was a neat addition and it was in a convenient location to shops across the street.

We are planning another trip next month to Daytona and have been checking out other places that we can possibly stay at. After all the research we've been doing, it seems that our best and safest choice is to stay at Bahama House again.

My family and I found the Bahama House after checking into anther hotel and finding it to be a dump. The Bahama House came to our getaway weekend rescue. The rooms are large with a small kitchen, wonderful view of the beach from the balcony. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our next visit to Daytona Beach will be at the Bahama House.

Needed a much needed break and this hotel was so nice. The room was big and looked out over the ocean. The place is spotless and the staff is very helpful. The breakfast was fine . The pool area is small but I liked that. It was a very relaxing and I will stay here again and again.

I have been to Daytona Beach Fla every year for the last 20 years. BAHAMA HOUSE is by far the best place I have ever stayed. GREAT HOSPITALITY! FUN FOR KIDS.

Really a nice place although the four of us had been told we would have a suite and was given a room with two double beds. After two nights I complained and we were given a suite with a kitchen plus kept the other room for an additional 3 nights. Turned out to be a very enjoyable stay. This trip was booked through e-tour & travel.

This was our 3rd trip here. Great value, friendly, very clean,BIG ROOMS, great location, very relaxing. We own a restaurant and it is so nice to relax here on our only vacation of the year. We always look forward to coming to the Bahama House when we vacation in Daytona. We would recommend it to everyone. AAAAA!!!!!!!

check out.. Make sure to check out the News Journal Center, which is a 10 minute drive from the Bahama House, where I stayed. It features a variety of concerts and shows.

Peabody Auditorium The Peabody hosts a surprising number of touring Broadway shows, touring orchestras, and even the London Symphony (the Florida International Festival, in odd-numbered years).

When booking a hotel DO NOT do it online, those "great rates" are traps and once you get to the hotel your reservations may not even be recognized and those "great rates" do not guarantee good rooms, just the cheapest available rooms. Call the hotel for reservations.
