Bahama Bay Resort is a great location gated community with helpful front desk people (as long as you do not need computer or internet assistance). It is a great location close to Disney, places to eat, shopping, groceries, golf, fishing, highwaysÂ….. The first time there I gave a very positive feedback but that now has changed!
This was our second stay at Bahama Bay the first time we where there we where on the top floor of the complex and had no problems with noises and could not understand the feedback complaints of the noise from the units above. This time (February 2 -17 2008) we where on the second floor and now fully understand the feedback complaints we could hear every step that the people made above us and they where up all hours of the night. Along with knowing when they where up and walking around inside we knew when they went out and came in from the balcony as the you could hear the sliding door roll open and close and bang in each direction. You would think that with 12 foot ceiling that they could have made them 11 foot with 1 foot of sound proofing. I will apologize to the people that where below us as we where not stumping around on the floors.
One other thing is the cleaning fee unless you where informed of the fee before in your reservation agreement do not pay for it, they will remove it from the agreement that you sign at the desk if you inform them that it was not listed on your reservation.
We will return to Bahama Bay only if we can be guaranteed a unit on the top floor.
I would give the complex 5 stars, but because of the noise within the unit I give it 2 stars.

Top Local Tips for Davenport

When shopping becomes sport Travelling with 3 women who view shopping as both a hobby and a sport, I know where every outlet mall, department store, and mega-mall is in Central Florida (as well as most of the good places to sit and wait while they shop!). The favourites of my wife and teen-aged daughers include the Premium Outlets Mall on Vine just off I-4/International Drive; the Florida Mall at Sand Lake Road and Orange Blossom Trail (441); and any of the seemingly ubiquitous Target or Walmart superstores along Hwy 27 and on 192 (the Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy - the main route in to Kissimmee). I on the other hand like Marshall's - I always find deals there on first-quality brand names, like my favorite which is Polo Ralph Lauren. The selection is better at the Polo store in the Premium Outlet Mall, but the deals are better at Marshalls!

Things to Do When to Disney

Directions Call hotel before arriving to get clear directions as the turn into Bahama Bay is tricky. But, throughout my stayI found it with no problems after trying it once.
