the Sunshine Motel very close to Dania Beach I was seaching for a close to beach budget motel and found this place on Yahoo! So, we called the owner and learned that it was a very small place (7 rooms or so) several steps from the Dania Beach. Palm St \ Surf Drive cross section. Not far from the California Dream Motel which is well known. We were coming from CA , so we wanted smth local n Florida. The place was not bad for the price ($75 per night in January 2008). Full kitchen (bring your own coffee, sugar, tea, solt etc. if you are going to use it). the Bathroom was clean with a hand soap and a big bar of soap in the shower (no tub). The q/bed was comfortable, no bugs. The service is almost "do-it-yourself" type. You take your gabbage out, your dirty towels out, and you have a broom to sweep the floor if you mad a mess. The owner is a mature lady busy all day with landry and such. She was very accomodating and waited for us till 2 am, giving driving directions by phone. The place is very quiet, with nice patio, grill, chairs under the umbrella and palms. So, if you do not mind the fact that the place is old and rooms are not cleaned along the perimeter, you will enjoy the palms and the beach. I have nice pictures but do not know where to post them as the TripAdvisor does not have the Sunshine mote of Hollywood, FL listed.
