Top Local Tips for Cocoa Beach
The Kennedy Space Center The Kennedy Space Center was really wonderful! I would recommend it for families with children over the age of four. The IMAX films were spectacular!
Enjoy Cocoa Kennedy Space Center is a great day, check out the Astonaut Museum & Planetarium at Brevard Community College & Ron Jon's Surf Shop. If you have kids who swim well & are reasonably agile buy a "boogie board" for under $10 & watch them ride the waves. Wise to buy a swim shirt ("rash guard") if you plan to spend long beach days, will be out in midday sun, and have any sun sensitivity. Great meal at Cazoni's Pizza - a fun, family Italian place, great breakfast at Grill's Seafood Deck & Tiki Bar & looked like it would be good for lunch & dinner (up ON the Cape Canaveral inlet, north end of the island.)
Great Places to eat!! The Sunset Cafe = Great atmosphere and view of the ocean sunset, live music entertainment and good food. The Italian Courtyard = Great indoor atmosphere of an Italian Courtyard, great food! The Pier = Beautiful dining area, view of the ocean on a pier high above the beach, view of the sunset, friendly service and good food. The Lobster Shanty = Good food, Catfish pool in front where you can feed the fish, back deck to see the ocean and feed more fish, good view of the sunset and ocean, friendly staff. These are places that are very close to Ocean Landings Resort and my family makes sure to always eat dinner at each of these places during our stay. These are our favorite places! I would Recommend them to anyone looking for atmosphere and great food and service!
