Home away from home

was very clean bed was double sheeted. pool was heated Oh! how nice that was. April is the manager and so helpful in fact all person I had contact with were above the call to duty. Good show all. cont. breakfast was very good. Will surly stay here again in a heart beat.

clean and comfortable

The Luna sea was very clean and new looking with a fancy bathroom. The room was very clean and quiet. I though the bed was very comfortable (on the soft side) but my boyfriend didn't like it. The breakfast was continental and ran from 7-11am which was good for us late risers. We didn't use the pool because it closes at dusk and couldn't get back that early to use it. I would definitley stay here again because of the comfy beds and clean quiet atmosphere.

Good Hotel, Good Location, Good Price

The Luna Sea isn't a fancy hotel by any means, but certainly the rooms were clean, although the decor was dated. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were good. No complaints here. For what I paid, I thought they were excellent value for money.

Great service, reasonable price

After many visits to Cocoa Beach, we found Luna Sea Bed and Breakfast on our recent visit. Not only are the rates reasonable and the location perfect (walking distance to beach and Ron Jon) but the staff is the best.

Luna Sea provides an ample American Breakfast each morning early enough for the Surf crowd and menus for many local restaurants are available in the lobby. In addition, beach towels, blankets and pool toys are available at the front desk.

When our air conditioner decided to act up, we were immediately relocated to another room. The staff is tuely amazing. This is my new home away from home

We stayed at the Luna Sea B&B Motel located at 3185 N Atlantic Ave in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Excellent stay!

This is a family-owned and family-run, two-story place built in the days of "motels." Outdoor stairs lead to the second floor - first-floor room occupants can pull into a parking space immediately outside their door. This "bed and breakfast motel" is far, far better than the motels of days gone by.

The hurricanes of 2204 resulted in major renovations - which were completed to a VERY high standard. Our room had comfortable beds, tiled bathroom floor, tiled bathroom walls, ornate pedestal sink, glass/silver shelves on the walls with hair dryer, shampoo, extra toilet paper and tissues, etc. Plenty of towels. Beach towels can be borrowed from the office. There is an ice machine - with pool toys you can borrow, stacked at the side. Small refrigerator with freezer in the rooms.

While the motel is not on the beach front (it is across the road), it is (at most) a two-block walk to a pedestrian crosswalk into a public park with beach access, showers, etc. There is a Wendy's and a small convenience store within two blocks' walk.

The swimming pool is adequate-sized and gorgeously landscaped. There are very nice tables and chairs around it, fabulous flowers and a true sense of serenity here.

The breakfast included muffins, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit (juicy Florida oranges!), coffee, milk, juice, toast/bread, jam, etc. There aren't many tables to sit and eat but the office is staffed by friendly employees with a wealth of information.

The only thing I'd change is adding non-slip appliques to the bottom of the bath tub as it was rather slick - be cautious!

Stayed at the Luna Sea Motel for several nights during May 2005, its a family run motel. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Great choice of breakfast every day too. Give it a try.

Stinky but friendly

Based on other TripAdvisor reviews, we decided to give the Luna Sea a try.
Our room was quite smelly and I was afraid to walk on the carpet with bare feet. When we left for dinner, I put the heat up high to dry out the room - it worked - the room smelled much better afterwards.

The staff could not have been friendlier and the continental breakfast was more than adequate. However given the state of the room, I doubt I will return.

I am puzzled by this review. The question I have to ask is that if a room was so stinky why would cranking up the heat help the odor? Wouldn't that exacerbate the problem? Furthermore why didn't the guest pass along their concern to the front desk so we could investigate? Finally, how did this smell not only get by my housekeeping staff but also past the Manager on Duty who personally checks all rooms before they are rented?

good location and the staff was very friendly and helpful. i would go back next time I am in Cocoa beach. Feb 2005.

Our room wasn't the greatest, but they are doing reno's on the rooms and just hadn't done ours yet. What made this place stand out is the local feel. The staff was very approachable, drew maps how to get places for us, recommended great local restaurants. I would stay here again, only longer next time.

Top Local Tips for Cocoa Beach

Bus service If you're going to use the public transit, check out their web-site first. To buy a 10 ride pass, we had to go all the way over to the bus terminal/offices which is not handy to Cocoa Beach but we had a rental car for our first day anyway. The public transit is good but after supper, they only run on the hour.

Italian Courtyard Great Italian restaurant. Bob had the sausages rolls and fell in love with them!
