sure is a quality hotel on the beach!!!

Our family spent 7 nights at this hotel and the actual room was really clean and all the service at the hotel was great. The swimming pool was really clean, infact when we went for a drink at the bar most nights there was always the same man cleaning the pool and i must say he did an excellent job. The restraunt which is in the hotel called ihop was really nice the food was great. we went with some family friends aswell and so these comments are from 2 families. We were so happy that the hotel was really nice and clean we were saying that we think that hotel had one of the cleanest pools out of any other we had been to that was probably because of the work that we saw was put into cleaning it by the maitinece man Alex (we think his name was or something like that!) We also thought that the reception were really helpfull and kind and were alot better then the receptionists we had at a place we went and stayed at in greece. Overall we thought the hotel was in a clean condition and all the services we used there were great. The waitress we had was always working ever so hard and never made one mistake with our orders we can't think of her name though! This was definatly a quality hotel on the beach!!!

My family and I stayed for 5 nights. From the start, we could see that the hotel is over-rated, and is clearly old and in need of modernization and repair... The rooms are painted-over and in need of upkeep (the bathroom fixture had two different light bulbs in it), and the tub was antiquated beyond reason.... The 'balcony' is extremely narrow; nowhere to lay out on a chaise lounge, even if there was one.
We were met by the manager on duty, but she was too busy taking a call from a guest who was departing early from his stay because he was not satisfied with "the property".... Neither were we.. The pool area is too small, the beach area was NOT picked-up and neat, and the elevators inside the hotel each come with an Interminable wait... Save time, money, and effort: don't stay here!

The staff never inquired as to our satisfaction with this hotel, and upon our leaving, the manager didn't even THANK ME for our stay there... I have no idea why..... Thanks for allowing me to vent about this disappointing experience.

My family stayed at the Quality Inn at the Beach for a week in October of '03. It was decent overall but not a place I would return to if given the choice. First of all, its not really on the "beach," but rather it has a small little swimming area that fronts a boat channel often full of speedboats, sailboats, yachts, and sightseeing ships which was dissapointing. Our room had a strong mildewy odor and although renovated recently, showed many signs of age and mustiness. Parking was difficult, particularly on weekends, as there are not enough spaces and the hotel's Tiki Bar patrons filled lots of the spaces. Frequent live outdoor music from a hotel several doors down was loud and sometimes irritating when one wanted some quiet peaceful time by the pool or even in the room.On the upside, the hotel staff was very attentive and some decent restaurants (including a great IHOP on the premises), stores, and conveniences are nearby.

I, recently, spent four nights at the Quality Inn Clearwater Beach. I had my family with me and was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Overall, I had a great vacation at the Quality Inn Clearwater Beach.

We stayed at the Quality Hotel on the Beach for two nights in August and were very pleased with the hotel and the customer service. The staff was excellent and called both days to make sure everything was acceptable to us. The room itself was clean and very big with nice ammenities. There is an IHOP on site to eat at and other restaurants, stores and shops close by. The Jolly Trolley stops in front of the hotel, which is a fun way to see Clearwater Beach and Sand Key for $1.
The beach was a little small and directly faces the Park across the water. The Gulf is actually to the right. You can always go up the street the the larger public beach by the Pier. The pool was nice but small. All in all, it was a good experience, other than the rain.

where do i start?! the hotel room itself was okay. one of the elevators didn't work. out of 2 dryers one didn't work. the chaise lounges shown in the brochure are not blue/but are god awful pastel shades that are designed to look like a four poster bed for a child. the beach was cleaned daily by a tractor who scooped up the junk from the gulf only to dump it back in to the gulf instead of trashbin. so a few hours later when it's high tide it alls comes back. BEWARE!! if you are looking for a relaxing day in the water on the weekends better plan something else. you will get run out of the water by the hundreds of local boaters who want to beach where your swimming so they can b.s.
and drink at the hotel bars. and don't get in their way because "they live there". the hotels can't do anything about.

After reading other reviews I was a bit nervous about the hotel I had booked online. However everything was just PERFECT! From the friendly hotel staff, the clean and nicely furnished rooms to the lovely beach and pool area. The staff was always available to help with any needs or questions and always very friendly. I could not have selected a better place to stay. I look forward to returning again very soon.

We stayed here over the Easter vacation week. The hotel is rather old, but clean. The rates we paid were high compared to a lot of other hotels in the area. The power was out twice and we were surprised there was not any back up plan for air conditioning. The pool is nice, but the chairs used at the pool were in short supply! Reserve early or you get none! The beach area is very small as well. The playground looks bigger in the picture than it is.

If youre looking for a spring break atmosphere this is the place to go. however if you want a family oriented or a quiet romantic getaway keep looking, or you will end up prisoners in your hotel room like we did

Top Local Tips for Clearwater

great seafood and causal atmosphere try crabby bill's about a mile from the hotel across from pier 60 and the main beach... delicious food, relaxing atmosphere, live band while we were there, great staff and very reasonably priced

Car Parking The traffic along the sea-front of Clearwater is terrible, queues for beach access stretch back for miles. If visiting, arrive early and depart before the rush home. If staying, try to book a hotel on the beach with car parking. It will be more expensive, but well worth the extera in time an parging charge savings. Also, avoid Spring Break like the plague. Full of young teenagers let loose for the first time.

Pier 66 Definately check it our for your stay in Clearwater Beach. Nice sand, live artists, amusement areas, water activities, clean beach.
