We stayed at the Comfort Inn, in Washington, DC during spring break in 2005. The breakfasts were adequate and certainly were plentiful. It was about four to five blocks away from the nearest Metro Station, and only another five blocks away from the national mall. This made for a lot of walking. It is also only about a mile or so from Dupont Circle where there is awesome dining. We walked almost everywhere. The rooms were quite small however and the four of us, my wife and I and our 10 year-old and 12 year-old children were cramped much of the time. There is only a small bathroom, and one closet which was not built in. I did like the fact that Internet access was available, and even though I did not bring my computer, I was able to use the lobby's computer. The staff was relatively friendly. They frequently did not have information correct however. For example, I asked the receptionist when we first got into town, how far the White House was and she said it was only two blocks, when in fact it was closer to 10 blocks away. She pointed to the wrong spot on the map were the hotel was located, and they didn't seem to understand how taxi fares worked. From a family perspective, I would not strongly recommend this hotel and would have preferred that the hotel was either closer in, or closer to a metro station.
