Reliable places to hang... Check out Red Lion for great burgers, fun apres ski, green chili (rocks), and live music...this place is a Vail original. Also for pizza you can't beat Vendetta's and Plazzo's but Vendetta's is very convenient right in the heart of the village for apres ski or a pizza and beer in the evening. Covered Bridge coffee is also a must -- great little joint and it's a local spot unlike the Starbucks. Covered Bridge lattes and hot chocolates are also better in my view! Sweet Basil lives up to expectations but be prepared to drop some serious change.
