Top Local Tips for Breckenridge

Nightlife We only went to two places the week we were there, but they were a good time. There is an Irish pub next to the hotel. "Gold Mine Saloon" is the oldest saloon west of the mississippi. We went there three nights in a row and had a good time. Drinks were cheap for a resort town and the bartender who work 6 nights a week was really cool.

Free day trips - dont pay your Operator for them! Breck has a regular free bus service to a number of local towns. It has a very easy to understand timetable ( colour coded ) and goes amongst other places to Keystyone for skiing and to Silverthorne for the outlet Malls. Your tour operator will probably try to sell you trips to these places but you can do it for free and at your own pace.

Your lift ticket is good at Vail & Keystone You have to go to Vail to ski it is by far the best out of the three. Frisco and Silverthorne are near by. Don't try to eat breakfast in town the waits can be over an hour in bust season. Eat on the hill.
