be prepared - Denver gets HOT in the summer!!! My son and I spent one week in the Denver area in July of 2005. During this period, the high temperature readings were broken for several days, with readings of 105-108 degrees. For those of us who live in the hot, humid Southeast, we know about sweating and replenishing the fluids in our body. Don't be deceived by the "drier" heat!! You won't detect nearly as much perspiration, but monitor your fluid intake carefully!!! You still need to drink!! Just be aware of the higher elevation, the STRONG sun (even in town), and the dry heat, and you'll enjoy the most beautiful part of the country!!!
