Great fish tacos I had some fish tacos from a small stand on the harbor in SB off Carillo & Castillo, tucked away past the 2 larger restaurants-- they were FABULOUS! I can't remember what it was called, and it was about $8 for 2 tacos -- but everything was fresh (corn tortillas, cabbage, actual tomatoes in the salsa) and spiced perfectly (the salsa AND the swordfish), and they were AMAZING -- coming from a Texan. And the batter texture on the fried fish was great as were the fries -- just not enough flavor (fixed with some salt & tartar sauce). Check out the stand!

Good Value Dining The Fish House on 101 E. Cabrillo Blvd. was friendly and reasonably priced.

Two great lunch/dinner options For lunch, I had the most amazing parmesean crusted sandwich at the Beachbreak Cafe. For either lunch or dinner, try a locals' spot, the Brewhouse. The Neighborhood Bar next door to the Brewhouse is fun as well. Have the Sunset Wheat. Yum.
