The rooms are dirty, the management is rude, and the people that make this place their home like to stir up trouble. If you like being woke up in the middle of the night by a screaming woman saying she is being beaten only to find out she is in the room by herself, and by drunken fights and by police sirens then this is the place for you. Otherwise keep going down the street.

CalTrain to San Francisco The Firestone Lodge sits midway between 2 CalTrain stations: Hayard Park, and Hillsdale. The Hayward Park station is smaller (skipped by some trains during weekends) but slightly closer. The fair was $4 oneway to San Francisco. . . SamTran bus routes #390 & #391 are also very convenient in getting around San Mateo along El Camino Real.
