The Best!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Peachtree Inn in San Luis Obispo, CA for four nights! We had a Creekside room and it was by far the best motel/hotel/inn/ experience we have had in a very long time. Very quiet and the feel of the place made you feel right at home. Such pride and care in everything. Continental breakfast was great! Afternoon cold lemonade with cookies and snacks - We will be going back!

Very NIce, but no pool!

I very much liked this place, kind of a synthesis between motel and inn, a very good value, but don't believe the rating the pool gets, there isn't one.

Peach Tree Inn Just Fine

We stayed at the Peach Tree Inn for 2 nights recently. We had stopped off in SLO a couple of years ago and liked the place so thought this time we would stay a bit longer.

Checked in Trip Advisor for somewhere to stay that was not too expensive and came up with the Peach Tree Inn. It is not far off the freeway but we asked for a queit room and it was fine. The rear of the hotel looks out onto grassy hills with horses etc. Our room was nothing too exciting but the bed was really comfortable. A continental breakfast is included and we met some very friendly people over breakfast. Many people who stay here have children studying at Cal Poly and as they visit frequently they know the places to stay!

The inn is within walking distance of town or there is a trolley bus that operates at a low cost. SLO is a good stopping off point for travel between San Francisco and Los Angeles, close to the coast and is surrounded by wineries. We also revisited Hearst Castle whilst staying here.

So Peach Tree Inn definitely worth a visit, isn't too costly and staff are friendly, not to mention your fellow breakfast diners!

Great value for money

We stayed here for one night on our way to Santa Barbara. Easy to find and well located for downtown and not at all noisy despite location close to freeway. Room was clean and very comfortable. This place is great value for money ... $75 a night including breakfast which was plentiful and a sociable start to the day. Highly recommended for the budget minded.

Very good stay

Stayed for one night as a stop-off . Yes its a motel, but a very pleasant one. Nice room (though with just a shower - no bath), the staff could not have been more helpful and most of the customers at breakfast were regulars - which speaks for itself of the quality of the place. And a rate for the night of £65.

Charming, comfortable motel

Clean, comfortable lodgings only a 10-minute walk from downtown SLO. Charming decor and extensive continental breakfast (the only downside was limited seating in the dining room). Friendly service at the front desk. I'd definitely recommend the Peach Tree to family and friends.

Best value in California

A review I read somewhere listed this motel as the best value in San Luis Obispo. I think they were wrong; it's the best value in the whole state.

When you first drive up to the place, it's kind of an unremarkable looking small hotel, although in very good shape. The minute you walk into the office, it's very clear that this place is ANYTHING but unremarkable, beginning with the terrific lady at the front desk, and including a nice little breakfast / social area, the decor in the rooms and such nice little amenities as towels for your car windows outside of the rooms.

At $110 for a weekend night during spring break, the place is incredible.

Call direct!-In our earlier Trip Advisor review of The Peachtree Inn Motel-"three generation women's review"-"LOOK HERE-Pride Shows", of our coastal pleasure trip, we forgot to include this Motel's Direct Toll Free phone number. Here it is... Mr and Mrs Hitchcock run the Inn like you are family. Their nightly rates are an agreeable surprise (ask for discounts), and they have a toll-free number, ---. (Oh, and Wi-Fi access too!) A pleasant place to relax and enjoy. .

Quaint , Clean, very friendly staffs

This is definitely a motel. The rooms are small but clean. For the price and the location, you are getting your bang for the buck. Staffs were extremely friendly and helpful with directions. Breakfast was delicious -- fresh homemade bread, muffins, eggs, cereal and fresh fruits included. The setting is beautiful and centrally located. Close proximity to Cal Poly and eateries.

Hotel& Inn folks LOOK HERE! Best quality for the dollar Motel-Inn I've come across (especialy for this area). I don't normally stay in Motels, but I found the Peach Tree Inn thru Trip Advisor when booking Hotels and Inns for a 9 day trip down the California Coast (Santa Cruz to San Diego. Good location, wonderful owners, very clean, everything neccessary (and works well), & includes a very nice continental breakfast (beats any of the budget hotel chains continental breakfasts). Nice breakfast room (or sit out on the country porch). Three of us (3 generations-women) stayed over on a Monday, winter, evening for a great discounted price, $99 plus tax for TWO adjoining rooms (smaller size), each room with two dbl/queen beds. We highly recommend for business and pleasure overnights-I'd rate it Excellent-a "5", but for the outdated decor and small room size-not for room dwellers.-PRIDE SHOWS HERE!

Top Local Tips for San Luis Obispo

Best to rent from Enterprise Taxi costs about $20 from airport to Peach Tree Inn. I rented a car from Enterprise, and paid about $5 less per day than it would have cost if you rent from the SLO airport. Enterprise picks you up and brings you to their office downtown. Then, when you're ready to fly out, return the car at their office, and they'll take you to the airport for FREE>

$10 minimum! Be forewarned... if you're arriving via train like we did, there is a $10 minimum for cab rides. Our ride should have been more like $6. But with the rise in fuel costs the companies have had to implement this rule. Plan to share a cab or take public transportation... or walk, it's a terrific city for walking!

Novo tapas restaurant A lovely place for a really good and reasonable dinner - ask for wine recommendations.
