Stay downtown There is a very fine line between scary neighborhoods and nice ones. Do yourself a favor and stay downtown at the Hilton, Marriott, Fairmont or the Sainte Claire

Avoid rush hour traffic When we have early morning flights, we start our vacation the night before. We check in, go out to dinner and start to veg in the room. The shuttle helps take the stress off of missing a flight due to traffic congestion or a car problem. It would only take one accident to keep you from getting to the airport for a morning flight. (We live about 1.5-2 hours from the large airports)

Not as easy as could be. The rental car situation at the airport is a little chaotic. Alkl of the "on site" properties are at the same place, accessible by shuttle bus from the terminal. The lines were long from most car services and getting out of the airport was a nightmare. The rental cars property is a temporary buliding. Eventually it will be great, but the airport is in transition (ie buildind and construction(. Leave extra time right now.
