The immediate welcoming attitude of the owners & staff was what i noticed first. 2nd, the architecture and decor of the hallways & rooms. Third, with such a spacious room and enormous closets, I felt like moving in for good! fourth, the raisin cinnamon bread and coffee every morning in the artsy dining room fueled me for the adventure of the day. fifth, the location was perfectly central to everything i wanted to do ... walked everwhere, everyday for a week. sixth, extended stay another week because i didn't want to leave my new home away from home. p.s. the antique elevators are a godsend at the end of a long day, but in the morning, i enjoyed taking the wide, carpeted stairway to burn off that daily cinnamon bread! i can't wait to return to this beautiful, historic oasis in nob hill ...

Staying at the Mayflower made an absolute superb ending of a cross-country roadtrip with a never endning list of various hotels of various prices and quality. In San Francisco we found a second home at The Mayflower Hotel. So cosy and friendly service and invironment. Family driven and family friendly, and great location in walking distance of everything. We actually left for L.A. but soon returned to San Francisco and The Mayflower Hotel. Huge value for the money. Thanx a bunch- we will be back.
