| A Decent Hostel Overall |
| OK, here's the deal...... The Good: Very kind and thoughtful girls who take care of reception and help you in every way possible, smile included! You prepare your own excellent waffles every morning but need to be in the kitchen early if you don't want to wait. Nice selection of jams and the coffee is very good. Rooms are spacious enough with clean en-suite showers in marble. For the double private rooms, a TV set, fridge and microwave is provided. Internet use all day, every day. The Bad: Paper-thin walls, and one night where guests coming and leaving made an absolute racket at 3am in the morning. According to the manager, it is a youth hostel and it is expected that they are going to want to make noise and wake everyone up at 3am! The banisters in the corridors could do with a good clean to get rid of grime. The Ugly: Rats! They come into the kitchen in the evening because the backdoor is left open. Two ran out from the dustbin area on our first night, but they didn’t appear at all during the day. |
