Not worth the trouble

What a lousy place to be - staff unfriendly to incompetent; rooms are nothing an allergic person should come near to. Standard not worth half a star, in fact, our taxi driver knew this hotel as a "hostel."

I was very disappointed by the Mithila Hotel Bed and Breakfast - the hotel was very low category. I was under the impression to be called bed and breakfast you should at least offer a decent continental breakfast, not just a CostCo horn'o plenty and some coffee. The room was very cold and there was no climate control, there were 2 fuzzy TV stations. It was close to the cable cars, but not so close the shopping as I though it was. I didn't think the hotel lives up to the charming European style hotel.

Money well spent Buy a City Pass. For $54 you get 8 or 9 days unlimited travel on trolley and bus lines, entrance to Aquarium, Blue and Gold Harbor cruise, entrance to 4 or 5 museums; absolutely worth every penny considering 1 cable car ride is $5.

Upon check-in, I smelled pot-coming from the motel office. He told me there was plenty of parking, and it was 3 city blocks away! It was scary hauling luggage at 11PM in the ghetto of SF. Also, he told me there was free WIFI - hahaha. Spring the extra $20 and stay elsewhere.
