Accomodations were pretty basic, but staff was very helpful and friendly. Affordable and close (4 or 5 blocks) to the square.

Excellent and Central in SF

First impression mean a lot and our reception at the Cosmo could not have been more friendly or helpful This attitude prevailed with all staff members with whom we came in contact. Rooms were comfortable, lifts reliable, and cost reasonable. Tours were booked for us with ease as were taxi pickups. We'll stay there again. My one complaint was lack of food and bars (that would have given the hotel the extra point) but an excellent little cafe across the street served for breakfast and The Owl Tree bar a few minutes walk away served the best margaritas. I loved the crazy art deco frontage.
