My husband and I had went to Barona for his birthday (Its the only one I'm able to go to). We had a great time! I happend to win 1200$ on the 2cent slot maching with in like an hour of being there and the next day I won another 1000$ on the 5cent slot machine. Needless to say we stayed the night. The room was great. Comfortable beds, and our balcony overlooked the pool. The room service was great AWESOME FOOD!! I recommend the eggs benedict, and the fried gouda and mozzerella to anyone (the best I have ever had!). The only thing.. to rent a movie in the room is kind of expensive (10$). So only if you think that you can stay awake long enough to watch one after a long day of gambling and walking to and from the hotel room, I don't recommend it! OH... and like the last reviewer said... it's a LONG walk to your room from the casino so make sure you go to the bathroom b4 you decide to go up and you have some comfy shoes on cuz those are the longest hallways I have ever been in! Other than that, its an amazing stay - soo much fun and if you get a chance I say go.. and give me a call (lol) I'll be right there. Ok, one last thing.. its a long winding road to get to Barona and if you are diving at night there are no street lights so it's kind of hard to see and ppl still like to drive fast for some reason. So be careful!!

We had a great time at Barona on Tuesday 2-20-07. We got a coupon for a free room in the mail and we had dinner and won 200.00. The room service was awesome and so was the hotel staff!! Thanks Barona. Tammy in Chula Vista.

A Great Get Away

What a nice surprise. The drive from Los Angeles is pleasant but the casino is quite far off of the freeway so prepare for 20 mintue drive on side streets. Located in a nice and very relaxing canyon once you enter the grounds it's a bit like disneyland with the guard waving and white picket fences. Parking is easy and the hotel is very quaint and rustic. Rooms are a bit small but elegant and very nice bathrooms. The hotel is long and a bit of a walk to the casino unlike Las Vegas hotels where the elevators land in the lobby of or near the casino, you have to walk to the casino and restaurants which is attached to the hotel next door. The gaming is good but can be hit or miss, no alcohol is permitted anywhere in the gaming area which is good but would be nice to have a drink especially when your losing :). The buffet is excellent- a bit pricey but well worth it. Be sure to join the Barona club for great buffet discounts and they also do regular mailings with excellent coupons for free rooms and free cash coupons. I think because they are so remote they figure a free room is a good incentive to get you in to gamble- and it works. The grounds are beautiful and if your a golfer you'll be in heaven. A true resort and not just another indian casino.
