The location being in old town,hotel parking and staying on the Delta King boat was the big draw. But our room was on the entrance deck that looked out at the paddle wheel. This meant we had people looking in and tapping on our windows all night long. We complained to the staff but without actualy roping off the area we still had problems. We did get a small refund on the room but it wasn't worth the hassle all night long. Advice: the rooms are small, we had two children with a roll way, these rooms are meant for two people. Get an upstairs room and hope they keep the tourist out.

Whilst planning our trip to California we were thrilled to be staying in such a unique hotel, an old fashioned paddle steamer, at such an appealing location, the quay side, old time Sacramento. Our room was comfortable, if a little unusual. The room was on a slant, so getting up in the morning (half asleep) meant that you were half way across the room before realising. The restaurant was good, staffs were very welcoming and entertainment was fantastic with a very engaging jazz singer. The whole experience was excellent.

A delight!

This is a lovely way to spend a night. The rooms are authentically furnished, with original taps etc and lovely comfy beds. Our room was river view, mid level, and quiet and secluded. The whole boat is quiet, relaxed and very clean. The staff were very accommodating, too. I thought that the restaurant was a little over-priced, but the food was delicious. The huge bonus is being right in the heart of Old Sacramento, which we loved. A round of drinks at a local bar was incredibly cheap, and the locals are very welcoming. A hard to beat experience!
